Thank you for this video. I just had coronary triple bypass surgery a three weeks ago I’ve been in a rehab facility for a week and the exercises that I be doing with the therapist I don’t remember once they leave but this video helps me to do exercises while sitting in my room. Thank you
ОтветитьHow many days after bypass heart surgery?
ОтветитьThanks for exlent video
ОтветитьDo you have any more tougher workouts cause I’m 4 months out and I’m running on treadmill at time of 26 minutes for 3 miles, jumping rope for 5 minutes lifting with 20LB dumbbells and 20 wall pushups. And I’m looking for something a little more I can do with the chest without doing damage to scar area. Thanks in advance for any help.
ОтветитьI had CABG, Aortic valve replaced and a triple bypass in July last, 2023, aged 53, I had, unknowingly, inhereted my late father's bicuspid valve, which claimed his life at 44 years old, I was having dizzy spells then they got worse then I started collapsing unconscious at home, the defect was detected during an Echo cardiogram. I was diagnosed and operated on in 17 days. I then had a heart attack, no pain, no discomfort, I just felt strange, I don't remember my other half calling the ambulance I just remember them taking readings and such, anyway when I arrived at the hospital I was gone I had to be de-fibbed back to life. I must have been in the OR when I heard the head surgeon say congratulations everyone, we did it. They had to put a balloon in part of the graft as this was causing backflow leakage. I couldn't believe it but thankfully I'm still here back in the gym now, I joined the gym after cardio rehab training made me feel so good again, I'm fitter and stronger than I was before. If you've been through similar, I hope you're all well now.
ОтветитьI m very greatful to you helped me a lot in considering myself that this surgery didn't stop my life & I can again do work out for losing my weight thanks
ОтветитьHow soon after heart bypass surgery can one start exercising please.
Ответить“They know that I refused home health care services”, :) but I found one online and I feel good about it.
After the 4 weeks is up and I can drive, I still prefer not to make a trip to the hospital 3 days a week for therapy, so I feel another refusal of services coming on. :)
I need to get a hold of a copy of those exercises they use.
Nice work Nathan. I'm 8 years post CABG this March (triple bypass). Regular exercise and a positive attitude were key to my recovery (I'm now in better physical condition that I was 20 years ago). I never had a heart attack or event of any kind, but just knew my body well enough, to know that something wasn't right and demanded to see a cardiologist (it's a long story). Take care everyone, remember not to work more than live and keep moving! All the best and remember, heart surgeries, sadly are one of the most common surgeries. However, this also means we're pretty good at them! Speedy recovery (with excellent videos such as this) to all :)
ОтветитьThanks Nathan. I just had my CABG last Jan 25 2024. I'm 56 years old. Diagnosed with low EF at 26%. These doable exercises helps me when I'm at home recovering. To keep me from being lazy while I'm not scheduled for cardiac rehab. Thanks for d videos. 👍

ОтветитьI am a year out from open heart surgery. As each day goes on, my sternum starts to ache, even after these 12 months. I did some of these exercises............but will they help the pain? Thank you for being there for us!
ОтветитьThanks for the video presentation. I start walking after my discharge. I am in the 16wks now after discharge and currently walking and running for an hour a day. Is that exercise help on my situation? And do some bicept and tricept exercise for 5lbs each arm, do you think that amount of weight are still good? Or need lesser weight?
ОтветитьThanku sir

ОтветитьThank you Nathan for this very helpful program. I have had a triple bypass and am in my second week home from being discharged. This has been a great tool for keeping me on task with exercises and I always feel stronger after each session. God bless you. Leah
ОтветитьThank you!!!❤
ОтветитьMy Father just had open heart surgery 3 days ago. This will be very helpful. I found your video on leg exercises for bedridden patients helpful as well, as he is mobility limited. I have taken off from work so I can help him try and recover. Having a few surgeries myself, I found PT to be the most crucial aspect of my recovery. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, experience and compassion!

Ответитьhi, thank u for this video, im 4wks POST OP it helps me a lot thanks
ОтветитьThank you I particularly like the sit-to-stand. The VA was so busy that I never had OT even at this level, so this sad, but I am alive. My rehab exercises with the VA do not start until 4.5 months post surgery. I wish I would have found this video sooner SINCE I still have one month before my rehab appointment.
But I am alive to say the least (most)
Thank you for this, I had aortic and mitral valve replacement 2 weeks after my 30th bday and these have helped me get better sleep at night 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
