ОтветитьIf you have a pressure cooker or Instant Pot, it only takes 45 minutes to cook.
ОтветитьLove it, but music is always a detractor.
ОтветитьScore the tounge before you boil it. The skin will come off much easier.
ОтветитьI love tongue. That looks soooo good
ОтветитьCooked up a moose tongue this way this weekend. Used a pressure cooker to speed up the process. Had a half dozen squeemish people change their minds about tongue including myself. Thanks for recipe and great video. The visual component to this dish is a big part of its success.
ОтветитьIts unfortunate we r not given the recipe.
It looks really good. But without recipe measure measurements. I have no way to fix it myself
I am making this with elk in next day or two. Will report back
ОтветитьBefore I gut a deer I say, "Tongue's out. Lungs out."
ОтветитьWhat does it taste like? Is it like liver or heart?
ОтветитьBraise it for three hours, or boil it for three hours? I’m confused, can you please clarify.
ОтветитьBoil an elk tongue for 4-5 hours....holy sh*t that seems ridiculous.
ОтветитьShould be called “how to make tongue not taste like tongue” Crock pot on low 6 hours, slice, salt pepper, eat... warm or cold...
ОтветитьMy granny taught me how to use tongue, makes great sandwiches, burritos and tamales
ОтветитьEver try moose nose? I seen some pretty deadly recipes for it
ОтветитьHaven't had it in a grip but my favorite tongue recipe is smoked moose tongue sandwich. I have no idea what my friends dad's process entailed but that was an annual treat at their place, assuming they got a moose of course. I need to call him up and get the recipe. Great Video as always.
ОтветитьWell he's convinced me to keep the ribs .. I suppose I'll try the tongue.
ОтветитьI get the feeling she got Steve's meat...
Ответитьor you Go to your local taco truck
ОтветитьExcellent! I have 2 moose tongues from this past fall up here in Alaska. Question: Why not pop tongue into a crock pot instead of braising?
ОтветитьI like beef tongue with banana, man nothing beats a good lickety split !!!!
ОтветитьShe's a chef nice old carbon steel knife and bench scraper. I tried this earlier this year with an elk tongue I don't think I cooked it long enough. Thanks for the tips 👌👌😊
ОтветитьIf deer tongue is anything like beef tongue it's flippin' delicious, prepared properly, of course.

ОтветитьI like to add fresh mint to mine too
ОтветитьROCKSTAR 🇺🇸🔪🔥💨
ОтветитьThe only way I've had tongue up to this point is a pickled bison tongue. It was a great flavor, and it fell apart wonderfully.
I recently got 3 pig tongues that I'm going to use this recipe for. I'm super excited to try it!

ОтветитьJust tried this with a feral boars tongue and it was delicious! Thanks MeatEater!
ОтветитьIs she single? That's a good looking woman, seems good quality
ОтветитьWe keep the taste buds on. Nothing wrong with it. Boiled the heart and tongue into a soup with flour. Bannock and moose tongue and heart soup is the best. Way better than beef. I love it.
ОтветитьMusic couldn't be more annoying.
ОтветитьWhen I was a kid my grandmother used to get cow tongue, don't know where. She would cook it and then pickle it. That was some good eatin.
ОтветитьThat looks great!
ОтветитьTongue also makes amazing tacos!
ОтветитьMake a video like this for venison liver and kidneys!
ОтветитьI love these.
The shows. Not sure about the tongue yet, but the shows are fantastic!🙏
What about lips?
ОтветитьThese are great, more cooking videos please!
ОтветитьI have gained a lot of respect for guys who hunt properly by watching your shows.
You should try an Iranian dish called Kalle Pache. You boil sheep head on medium heat for 4-6 hours. Turmeric, salt, a dash of cinnamon, onions and garlic. You can eat the meat on the face, the eye balls (remove the black of the eye), tongue and the brain, with some lemon juice sprinkled on top. The water is also delicious.
We always at the tongue skin and all in our family when we got a cow tongue. Texture was never a problem.
ОтветитьI'll give this a try with moose calf tongue. Horseradish is my usual condiment, here in Alberta its abundant along river banks.
Butter fried liver and lungs, sprinkle with chopped garlic and parsley give that a wirl. Rarely do i see people eat lungs(in some parts of Europe its known as "white liver"). Every bit as delicious as actual liver.
Cheers
This girl is a genius
