A review of every major CRPG from the last ten years

Lost interest before you even started on the topic :(

Looking at this in 2023, the genre feels like it has never been in a better position. Larian has made a miracle happen with putting a completely mindblowingly mainstream CRPG, Owlcat have taken over the hardcores with WotR and there about a million indies enjoying the yet another resurgence of the genre.

Patiently waiting to hear your thoughts about Baldur’s Gate 3

This is a very helpful review. I never liked these types of games but I picked up Disco Elysium and thought it was awesome but it didn't hook me on the genre, but then I recently played Baldur's Gate 3 even though I don't like these types of games and I'm hooked. That game really opened my eyes and made me think about CRPG's in a different light and I want to dive deep into the style now. Thank you for having videos like this to start making a list of sorts.

So when do we get Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, perhaps even Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2?

Wasteland 3 ended up feeling a lot more like the fleshed out modern CRPG that 2 probably should have been

it's 2023 and we still don't have a good fallout sucessor. no one seems to be able to make one.

I was looking forward to enjoy this, untill youi started treating older generations as wife-beating, women-hating, and newer generations as "peaceful wholesome gamers".

That's some serious issues you have there buddy.

Yeah we need to come up with a new term. Having crpg mean "you dont go into a special battle view where your characters are arrayed and take turns attacking" is lazy.

ARPGs are not RPGs

You liked Underarail's combat system but didn't like AoD's one? That's odd. I think you didn't get into AoD enouth in that regard.

I dont see magic and dragons conflicting with reality.. you would be surprised if you knew the true extent of magic in this universe
