Very subtle but if it was intentional, my props to Snyder. Notice that while that ship and everything in it is all that's left of his homeworld and represents his lost heritage, he grabbed the drone and crushed it without hesitation to rescue a human being who he didn't even know up until that point. It's a subtle way of showing his character and who he is. Doesn't matter if it's a piece of his homeworld or heritage. Saving people will always be first priority to him.

That black thingie that attacked Superman and Lois was there to protect the secrets and content of ship(like kryptonite) - INFACT i wonder if lois didn't poke camera on it and superman didn't had to destroy it, Lex luther prolly won't be able to cross this on his own and raise the Villain or use Kryptonite.
