Love it.. Been building cabinets for a while now so these handy tips are great..
My tip is to avoid at all costs getting old because you'll forget most of it. Skip the last part. It doesn't work unless you're dead..
I love a good tutorial on the use of jigs and how to make your own thanks for more useful tips and tricks Tricia.
ОтветитьThank you for adding metric every time you give a measurement, a lot of content makers from the states seem to forget or don't care that a huge number of people watching are from the UK or countries that use metric. A small thing, but important to some. Also, you are my go to if I want to know how to do something properly.
ОтветитьI love the fact that you use the correct word for the correct occasion. Too often I see "Tubers" call something level when they mean plumb. I quite enjoy your easy going style with a splash of humor for a smooth coating. :)
ОтветитьLook at my Parallel Guided Power Saw. Can you cut for a pyramid with the table saw?
ОтветитьYou might...but you won't - Me contemplating Sunday chores.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing this great video. It is full of wisdom!
ОтветитьI use Bessey TK6 for the 90° jig.
ОтветитьSubbed
Ответитьcristal clear ............
ОтветитьLove this channel! Thanks for all of your hard work.
ОтветитьNormally I get so frustrated with DIY’ers I stay away from woodworking/carpentry channels, for some reason they all think because they diy a project, the labor is free?! Ah no! Anyway just like to say i have lots of respect for skilled trim carpenters, cabinet makers and I can tell you’ve been doing this a long time! Glad to have found your channel, thanks for the wisdom sir! Much respect to my elders who are willing to pass down their wisdom/knowledge, thanks again!
ОтветитьDo you reinforce the dado joints for the cabinet box with something like nails or screws? If yes how do you keep these fasteners hidden? Or not necessary because face frame adds additional strength to the joinery?
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьLegend 👍👍
Ответить"..Shelving Support Should Slide..." Well said.
ОтветитьHa! Really enjoying your humor.
ОтветитьExcellent advice. Just about to fit out my first proper workshop and I will follow your advice. Thank you😊
ОтветитьThanks. Helpful techniques
ОтветитьLove your channel, very informative. Just subscribed 👍🏻👍🏻
ОтветитьI note that you have a radial arm saw in your shop. I also have a RAS and no room for a tablesaw. I think I've gone about as far as I can learning from the book and occasionally contradictory videos. It'd sure be nice to see a video from someone who really knows his stuff (hint, hint).
ОтветитьI really appreciate your tip on squaring a frame with clamps
ОтветитьFor my cabinets I first painted the pieces and then drilled the holes. This removed the need to clear out the holes.
A friend of mine, inserted dowels inside the holes before painting and removed the dowels after the painting...
Just discovered and became a subscriber of your channel. I loved the shelf hole story stick. I bet you could use brass hobby tubing and making inserts so the holes will last longer.
ОтветитьWow so much information to take in I had to save your video to refer back to it. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I wish you lived next door to me, we would be bff’s. Haha.
Ответитьhe's got a jig for everything!
ОтветитьAlways high tech, thank you. To access all the teachings, one needs a video library to go through them when needed.
ОтветитьA different level of woodworking. Amazing
ОтветитьFirst video Ive seen on how to make a corner cabinet, with EXTRA'S...... Thanks
ОтветитьEs muy bueno tu canal y las casas que haces felicitaciones ,pero yo no entiendo ingles ,si lo tradujeras a español te agradeceria y bendiciones
ОтветитьJust getting into serious woodworking and stumbled across your channel. Being an Aussie, I absolutely love how you’ve gone to the effort to mention both forms of measurements when stepping through each different stages.
Ответить"So I've employed several hacks"
cut to his assistants just off camera with hurt faces 😢
I’m continually floored by the genius ideas this man comes up with. He’s the MacGyver of woodworking.
ОтветитьGreat teaching. Reminds me of Norm at the “New Yankee Workshop”. Thank you for good memories both from Norm and yourself.
ОтветитьLove this channel for the practical tips. Nick looks just like my mother-in-law although her mustache is thicker.
ОтветитьThis man is the woodworking teacher we all wish we had.
Ответитьagain, common sense condensed ! thanks for these videos they are great.
ОтветитьCurious European here. Is there a reason you don’t use adjustable legs for your bottom cabinets instead of prolonging their walls? And if every cabinet base is perfectly square, how do you adjust them while installing? And also how do you future poof them against water damage?
ОтветитьNick, once again you have provided excellent information in a pleasant manner. Thanks.
ОтветитьWhich type of plywood did you use for cabinets?
ОтветитьThat ending man, actually a funny charming presenter.
ОтветитьAnother great tutorial. Sincere thanks from a grateful subscriber. I’ve used Q-tips in the holes for adjustable shelves so the holes don’t get painted. I like your drill bit idea much better.
ОтветитьThe number of jigs and clamps makes me realize i need to expand my shop. Perfect reason.
ОтветитьA humble question. How tall are you sir.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьI hope the end user of these cabinets can comprehend the master craftsmanship level utilized to build them.
ОтветитьWhere do I find the plans for the jigs used in this video. I have Aspargers Syndrome, so following the quick moving video is next to impossible. If these are in one of the workbooks that are linked in the description, I just need to know which one. I downloaded one of them, but it doesn't seem to be the correct one.
