Thank you for watching, everyone! This is my first time attempting to do a video like this, so it may be a little raw and unorganized. Please feel free to leave any constructive criticism or anything you would like to see in future videos like this in the replies below this!
ОтветитьWicked video! Man its interesting to see a Guitar Tech set up SL, im so used to seeing you guys SR haha
ОтветитьI've watched a few different techs working and find the backstage working structure really interesting. Must be great out on tour, but very busy. Doing something you love with a band you admire must be awesome. Just loved the dog's at the end, we've got 8 dogs, sadly lost 4 in the last 3 years. Wonderful companions, even if one of mine is 165lb of prime Pyrenean Mountain furry kid. Great post.
ОтветитьI know I'm almost 3 years late, but I just have to say that seeing you tune up to pitch in playing position would be an insta-hire. In so many other people's videos, I see them doing it while it's laying down
ОтветитьIs that jroc?
ОтветитьI love Brooklyn Bowl! Saw Red and Starset one show, and Demon Hunter another time
Ответитьunsung heroes for a band
ОтветитьDamn this guy spends more time on somebody else guitar for prep than most players do on their own 😂 yet his attention to details like putting lube on the saddles... Class act you can tell this guy is worth his money!
ОтветитьAhhhhhh the PLANDEMIC ,covaids 1984,welcome to the nwo .
Ответитьi enjoy watching this while i fix up my guitars.....im weird I know
ОтветитьI go there quite often. I drive equipment truck for bands
ОтветитьTank, do you still live in Nashville?😊
ОтветитьHands on top! Not the corners!
Sorry dude. Habit...
Was that a bowling alley I saw?
ОтветитьI would love to have all this shit done for me by the time i hit the stage. Amazing you even crown the frets and wax the guitars down and add strings ON THE DAY OF. I always thought it was better to tune up leave it or night to get proper tension and annotation and THEN tune it up and intonate exactly. Very cool Tank, funny that you're talking shit about the band your teching for
ОтветитьIt's bizzare to me that artists are now using digital profilers instead of actual analog gear. Is this future of shows now? you won't see a fucking stack of marshalls anymore? I was talking to Chris of Propagandhi and he said because he doesnt have the luxury of touring techs and roadies (maybe 2 guys that do everything from drums-guitars) he said it was easier to bring his mesa 4x12 and a Marshall 2000 TSL head as they are more reliable than profilers. But i can't imagine just seeing NO amps at all and everything just being plugged into the P.A?
ОтветитьYou have a Nordic, or something accent,,, whats that about?
Your attention to the detail of your work is admirable ~
Love the video man!! I was a stage tech and LD for 4 year for a local production company. And I've seen yall doing work, never realized how much yall do. Dope af!
ОтветитьWhere'd you get that rig setup for doing all the guitar maintenance on, and that red LED overhead lamp? I've been looking on Amazon and Sweetwater for a lamp like that, but the closest one I've found is a small clip on light for clipping to a book and reading with. It'll work, but it would be nice to find something a bit bigger. They're cheap enough so I can just buy multiples, but still....
ОтветитьYoung strong bodies are required.
ОтветитьHey Tank, what were you sing there to give the frets a little polish?
ОтветитьIf it really is December 7th, I am actually watching this exactly one year since it was recorded just by chance!
ОтветитьThis is a really cool video. I was never in a touring band, but I was around long enough in the late 80s and early 90s to know that what you guys do today is pretty much the same as what tech's did back then. Just with better equipment and less of it. Techs and stagehands deserve a round of applause as well as the bands. Bands couldn't tour without you. I'm a drummer and loading in and loading out my kit killed me most nights. We were only playing in local bars and clubs. My guitarist back then would have killed for a modeling amp. We are still friends 30 years and 6 states apart. He was and still is a gear whore. 100 guitars and who knows how many amps. 🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьWhat a complete bummer no amps on stage… too high tech… taking out the magic…
ОтветитьAre most of your interactions with the guitar players that chill?
ОтветитьI know this is a bit older of a video, but what's your method to make sure you don't screw with the action height when you're wiping down with bridges like that? I've always had a hard time getting a good cleaning on that area of the body with that style of bridge.
ОтветитьSo when you're working from home (in Nashville) one can say you're not a rodie but a homie? =)
ОтветитьThat guitar player has a bad ass rig
Ответитьcan you imagine? being eddie van halens guitar tech?
ОтветитьSee while I could play bass and guitar never had it to make it. But always was thinking a roadie would be great. You are the guys the crowd never really thinking about. I did some load in and outs for friends and while hard work the guys loved the effort we put in. So big appreciation from me
ОтветитьCoolest roadie video ever!!!
ОтветитьNoticed the slimmer version of the Circle Three Design case and it’s setup in pathway to where headstock hangs over side. Ever have an issue with anyone bumping into a guitar on the bench?
ОтветитьBLASTOISE!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьMusic Nomad makes great stuff.
Thanks for sharing!
Great video!! Is it possible to get a video where you breakdown everything you did to the guitars, products you used and why you used them?
ОтветитьIs guitar teching the same pretty much for all bands?
ОтветитьAwesome video man and love the look at what techs do Great job!!
ОтветитьI used to work as a light tech, setting up the lights and making sure they did what they was meant to. We're talking pre digital lol. Any one who has filled a lorry with lighting equipment, i shake you hand it was the most physical job I've ever done.
ОтветитьThe life of a Guitar Maid
ОтветитьNice when you can say being a guitar tech is work.
ОтветитьI really enjoyed this video.
ОтветитьWhat did you wipe down the guitars with and do you do that every string change?
ОтветитьThat was cool until i noticed the masks, turned it of.
ОтветитьYea, so he works for a tractor rap band...that's a shame, cuz he seems to be good at his job....never forget kids: Singing pop music in a shitty fake southern accent does NOT make it "country music"
ОтветитьAnybody looking for touring tech?!?!?
ОтветитьJust discovered your channel and been binge watching your vids. As someone who plays in a local cover band and covers a couple of Dustin's songs it's pretty cool to see the behind the scenes tech stuff. Also having seen Dustin and Pat Benatar and Journey its cool to hear the stories from someone who worked for them during the times you saw them all. Great stuff keep it up!
ОтветитьNever seen somebody measure the strings and cut them before installing them. Ill try that next set
Ответить
