Something I like about this scene; none of the soldiers are idiots. They're caught unawares, but they quickly respond and adjust as circumstances change. Not everyone makes it, but nobody dies due to stupidity.

Wow! It's legs are like bamboo. Perfect way to camouflage itself, from its prey.
Still, seeing a giant spider's silk makes it seem uglier, than it does with small spiders.

i will never get behind how the CGI from the 2005 movie looks 1000 times better than this one. Honestly parts of it look like from a game rather than an actual movie.

This scene is full of great elements that were done well, but the one thing that always stood out to me was the effectiveness of the bullets. Those guns are high calibre and could definitely penetrate the skin of that creature but most movies would have had the bullets bounce off it. It makes the weapons actually mean something when they are the reason they are alive.

The worst part is if you get impaled your body gets sucked through it.

Anyways. The sheer fact, that they manage to cut the legs of this spider even though they panicked was one of the best movie scenes I every saw.

This movie was awesome. I love how it's set in the time of the Vietnam War. The monsters may be CGI, but it's still fun to see soldiers killing monsters.
