It's a GREAT lake!! Love the post industrial, blue collar vibe!! Hullo from Canada!
ОтветитьReally like the enlarged Closed Captions too!
ОтветитьThere'll be plenty o time for workin' once the snow flies, hehe. Props for not wasting the golden days of fall.
ОтветитьJust keep doing your thing Tim. I know the majority of us here love these episodic vlogs. You're storytelling/presentation of your trips are total eye and ear candy!
ОтветитьThanks Tim , Erin , and Edmund . Very cool , as always !
ОтветитьThanks for these cool routes . I grew up in Columbus but have lived in LA for almost 30 years . I live at topanga and mulholland hwy one of the edges of the Santa Monica mountains - epic cycling . That said I am still envious of the cool wooded stuff and rails to trails Ohio has put together . Hoping to get back and ride some of these .
ОтветитьYou passed my workshop🙂
ОтветитьI really enjoy that your channel isn't technical. Most of the time cycling is just going places for me and what size tire or gear ratios I'm using don't play into it much. Your channel very much represents what I'm doing with my bike most of the time.
ОтветитьPerfect day to ride
ОтветитьAre you still riding your e-bike?
ОтветитьI'm with Erin. Getting out early, right when the day break rays are just blossoming, is the best time to ride.
ОтветитьI took the Moto out to to plainville go get a freewheel. Shout out to vintage friendly Renaisssance Bikes. Drivers are all of a sudden trying to kill me, right hooks, left hooks, I discovered that after mining and destroying and entire red rock ridge , they decided to move the entire quarry across the road and destroy that. I found a creepy road that leads to "Pigmy Village". A wierd neighborhood that was once occupied by workers for the Nike Missile base. It was pretty freaky, the abandoned house photos were pretty psycho. But I got that explore done.
ОтветитьThanks for not being super technical! There are enough other places for groupset and gear ratio discussions :)
ОтветитьMaybe something on best 90’s bikes to look for when building a cool ATB bike?
ОтветитьAs Lance said "It's not about the bike". It will take you 5 plus years to figure out what bike really works. A cliche line I will reiterate is , it's more important to just put time in the saddle . And you are totally doing that. Also footage of places and events shot from a bike are always far more real, and therefore more precious than some crap generated by some slick but cringey marketing guru, who is enslaved by Marriot or Hyatt. I just learned about that insane structure-less dirigible building. Would I have seen that in my SUV? And people actually paid good money to ride in those things . Amazing.
ОтветитьAlways interesting to catch a glimpse of the unique neighborhoods in these midwestern cities and towns in addition to the riding shortcuts between the neighborhoods and the urban areas.
ОтветитьKeep doing this. Cool music, nice rides, show us your places, sure show us your friends’ bikes too, what they’re riding, if they like talking about it, why they ride, what they do. No hype needed. Normal people like watching normal people just relax and enjoy what they’re doing. Russ and PLP is great, also unique, differentiation is good. Thanks for doing all this. I’m enjoying also seeing bits of your professional work but yeah, don’t make your fun time a job or you’ll quit doing this for us. 😅
ОтветитьWell you asked. I for one am interested in what the others in your group ride. What bike are they riding, and a general review on their individual bikes. What they ride and why. Tires, gears, all that stuff. If you did an individual interview and let them talk about their bike. That would be interesting and a good winter project. Any hooo just a thought. Thanks for sharing your experience and thoughts and for taking us along
ОтветитьI don’t have any suggestions, I watch your content because it flips me out how much Akron and the surrounding areas have changed (devolved?) since I left in 1981. All the bike routes and infrastructure - I would have never thunk it. I lived very near the blimp hanger near Wingfoot Lake - now it’s a state park!
ОтветитьThe best part of a day trip and watching your vids is just the “pick up and go and enjoy the little adventures along the way” vibe. Your instinct to not let the gear get in the way is the right one for my tastes, at least.
ОтветитьThanks for your great work! The riding style, the photography, the music, the beer, it all holds together. The bike check thing is appealing to me just because I'd like to see the bikes/components/toys/accessories that work well for people who do the kind of riding that I do or would like to do. The choice and outfitting of a bike can be an expression of personal style, but also it has to actually function for that person and how they ride.
ОтветитьGreat stuff as always Tim, spring time here..
ОтветитьGreat content. Some of my favorite Cleveland rides!
ОтветитьSunday morning viewing while I eat a bowl of porridge and honey and a gigantic mug of tea. Dog lying peacefully on the sofa.
A lively relaxed video with lots of fascinating interesting bits.
I thoroughly enjoy your stuff. Lots of things I could tick on a ‘please do this sort of thing’ chart and a ton of Tim Fitzwater ‘je ne sais quoi’.
Keep on doing what you enjoy. It shows.
Thanks Tim!
ОтветитьHey Tim. I’m all for whatever variation you want to bring to your channel. I love the breadth in subject, based on your weekly riding commitments, event preparation and social commitments. Also your obvious expertise with the equipment you use to vary the look of your content. Feels like there’s a special personal connection and genuine authenticity to what you put up, which means I’ll always be interested. Keep on doing what you’re doing! Whatever it is, I’ll be tuning in. Greetings from London Town.
ОтветитьLots a great shots here and always great to see Edmund! I need to do a Cleveland ride, it looks like a good chance of pace from Akron.
I’m a morning person myself, most of my rides are started quite early, I’ve been able to see some beautiful sunrises. Best one this year was coming out of the Big Savage Tunnel on the GAP trail to see the sunrise over a foggy valley. Ended up cutting my ride short that day to take it in.
Wouldn’t mind a video that goes over your editing workflow. May be best suited for your photography channel. Also, despite not being a morning person, allow me to recommend some sunrise rides here and then, you don’t have to get up as early for those this time of year and it’s a great way to start your day. Cheers and thanks for all the great work.
ОтветитьSo many nice shots and awesome views! I'm so jelly right now...I haven't been able to get out and ride as much as I would like to due to so many family events but I'm definitely looking forward to some fall rides as the season changes. Cheers 🍻
ОтветитьYou guys have a surly bike somewhere
ОтветитьI find your videos very interesting because you are a good storyteller and the areas you ride are very different from Northern California, where I live.
ОтветитьTim; your content is great, keep doing what you do; industrial gravel rides, photography, French music, beer, voiceovers footage. Comparison with other channels weaken your motivation. Your channel was built by wanderings in Akron 👏🏾
ОтветитьI appreciate that you have a common-sense bike that you love.
ОтветитьLooks like a banner day!
ОтветитьGood content, good tunes. Peace
ОтветитьYes, more info about your friends bike builds.
ОтветитьLove the video. Very good music! I have also thought about getting something like the dji with a bigger sensor for night shooting/dark shooting.
ОтветитьYou could do a video on your bike selection thoughts for Nutmeg. It will be my first!
ОтветитьI like your travelogues (Bikealogues?) just the way they are - showing good times with friends and seeing something new.
Ответитьyes, a detailed video on gear and techniques would be appreciated.
ОтветитьLove the way you do your videos. I hope you don't change a thing. 👏👏👏
ОтветитьHell yeah, i was in town last weekend to pick up the Crust I bought from Aaron's friend. We did a ride out to the Kent Oktoberfest the day before he broke his foot at the race. Assuming it was the same day, we missed you guys.
ОтветитьI had to chuckle a bit about the GoPro vs 'real camera' conflict. Properly used, the GoPro's have gotten so good (amazingly for still photos too if you can deal with the wide only) that it's hard to justify the hassle and risk to drag along something like an R5 (I have one too). But then sometimes you really wish for the cooler looking work one CAN get with 'real' gear. Ahh the challenges of choice.
ОтветитьI love the ride-centric content! Your videos help motivate to get me out on my own bike as opposed to the tech videos that push me to do more shopping. Riding > buying. Sprinkling in a tech video or bike build video on occasion is a fun way to mix it up, but you do a great job of showcasing actual bike rides and that's what I like most about bikes: riding!
ОтветитьHello Tim,
I personally like your relaxed no stress style. I really enjoy what you put out - just the simple pleasure of riding a bike and chatting - lovey jubbly -
Filming with an action cam on bike rides freed me up to shoot, and enjoy the ride. When I used my 'good gear' it would take me away from the enjoyment and focus more on getting a shot. Different dynamic completely, and I think that's why I'm enjoying your videos so much. Whether your talking on camera or voicing a narration after the fact. Enjoyable and often fast moving footage, lots of cuts, interesting scenery, great attitude, and just really great experience from a viewer's perspective. I'm up for anything you have to offer, even if you decide to shoot with a Nokia from the early 2000's. ha!
ОтветитьI like your videos just the way they are they are just fun
