Sonic CD was definitely the odd one out in the franchise. Not only did you need a Sega CD to even play this game, but the time travelling feature kind of felt off for a Sonic game. I still like CD of course, but it just didn't stand out to me as much as Sonic 2 did.

The game is amazing. It introduced many cool mechanics that would almost never be seen after this. It was as good as Sonic 1, 2, 3, and Knuckles. Whatever your opinion, I like the Japanese soundtrack better than US.

I played different versions (EN/JP) of this game, still prefer sound tracks in this version.
