you two alright? you just vanished and stopped making videos for a while
ОтветитьAnd, Oh! But, to live in a place where the trees branch forks. It's all pines and junipers around here.
Ответитьtake axe for speed of building, saw is good too, maybe take both huh?
Ответитьestos muchachos aunke vivan muy bien les gusta la vida aventuras salvaje felisidades
ОтветитьBest for survival is having 1 axe, 1 folding saw, and 1 survival knife.
But my people have their own knife called the "Hmong Knife". It does the job of an axe, survival knife, butcher's knife, and machete. "Battle-tested" design used for generations in the hills & mountains of SE Asia.
I'm so happy I found your channel <3. Greetings from Germany.
ОтветитьYour measuring skills are...unique! Amazing
ОтветитьAwesome video. In fairness, i think the axe had the upper hand because it was a full size axe, which is way heavier and bulkier that the saw and knife used as contestants. I think a fairer deal would be if both sides had the same weight. Like if we use a 1 kg axe, then the other side can carry a saw and knife of 1 kg. That means one can use a bow saw and decent size knife. The result had been very different. Or if one uses say a 25 cm saw and a knife that ways only 600 gr, then the other side can only use a 600 gr axe or hatchet. That would be a much fairer contest and more interesting. Keep the good work.
Ответить🪓🪓🔪🔪🏕🏕
ОтветитьDude. I'm from New York. I gotta say, I'm lovin the beats you play. Awesome .
ОтветитьMy favorite survival tool that isn't a power tool is the hedge clipping shears. Better than saw axe or knife.
ОтветитьBro if its just for shelter building I would do without the knife and use a Axe and a saw together, then i would make quick joints and build that but but if looking for long term then Axe and knife
ОтветитьSurvival knife doesn't have enough chopping power, a Tramontina bolo machete would be a better choice to pair with a small saw. 🙂
ОтветитьWhen is your next video☹
ОтветитьLike it very much Guys, thanks
ОтветитьI've watched this so many times now :)
ОтветитьFun times!
ОтветитьWhat means smooth gefixt
ОтветитьWhich brand of axes are you guys using?
ОтветитьIn Malaysia people use machetes also known as Parang
ОтветитьMany People says that you shall Not use a axe as a hammer. Is that furthermore right or Not?
ОтветитьDid you say "Čau" at the end of the video Julius? That's a Czech greeting/farewell...Or was it Italian "Ciao"? :)
ОтветитьAxe is better when it's a good axe. Some of the cheaper ones are really terrible, but if it's long term, you can't sharpen a saw in the woods, so even a cheap axe is better long term.
ОтветитьGreat job guys!
ОтветитьFor my survival situation, I use an axe and a machete. I'm an islander that has survived approximately 3 months with nothing but a machete and a Swiss knife. But I've come to recognize the usefulness of an axe due to recently cutting firewood but the usefulness not only lies in the power of the axe but also how handy it can be as a replacement hammer.
ОтветитьIt's educational seeing even experienced woodsmen struggle. Thank you, gentlemen. Looks like I'll be hauling my hatchet along always, now. Also, love the drone photography!
ОтветитьNot bad you guys
ОтветитьSiberian fire 👍👍
ОтветитьAre they Norwegians??? Just asking
ОтветитьOr u can take a knife and hatchet
ОтветитьBoth of you can Build super shelter without any tools in 2 days. Thats a great challange. (At winter time) 😁😁
Ответитьi prefer axe to saw as i also think couple good swings better than back and forth with saw also a saw can bend snap or get stuck where most of them unusal to happen to an axe also axe gives you a hammer and a second knife. and a fire starter if hit on flint.
ОтветитьI think the axe and saw combo would be ideal 🤠
ОтветитьV
ОтветитьWould have been brilliant but for the bloody rain, it just makes everything yuk. The saw shelter looked the more comfortable but desperately needed a fire , axe shelter just needed some moss for comfort and covering roof.
Ответитьhow many jackets did dylon bring to this trip? XD
ОтветитьI love swinging an axe it can be faster and last longer. However a folding saw and large knife are lighter so you will waste less calories. And it's much safer
ОтветитьThanks for another fun video. I think what this really shows is how much time and energy it takes to make even a semi weatherproof shelter, with good tools and experience, by a fit, healthy person with no injuries.
Did you know it takes 10 times more energy to make a shelter than to carry a few kilos of camping gear all day?
Axe 💪🏻👍🏻
ОтветитьLove your videos guy! Such a big fan! Started watching them cause I wanted to learn more about back packing and survival technique's So much fun to watch! You guys are amazing!
