The iphone/android controversy is solved

Android people don’t know what they are talking about. You say you want a lot of customizing and so many strips with android steps I am sorry then when you try and use I.O.S. And have to do steps you say it is bad. That is definitely an android user. They don’t know what they are talking about. Also I hope you like getting your phone hacked and laggy phone cause the iPhone that is where it comes in with security. Android phones get hacked so much easier. And everything lags. And freezes. Also iPhones around much longer cause of the updates that apples does with them. Android phones you have to replace them every so often where as an iPhone will far exceed that. How many of you can say that your android phone lasts over 7 years. Even an android phone form 2018 doesn’t even work anymore where as an iPhone from 2014 is still working. Even I have an iPhone 5s from 2013 when it came out and it still working today. I have my iPhone 14 plus as my daily driver but the 5s is sitll working from 2013. Android users can’t say that. And your are lets. You are less secure. Android phones are known to get hacked and messed up where as an iPhone passes all that and is not hacked easily. Their are some restrictions that help the iPhone with that. Their is a lot of protection where as an android phone it will bug ou it will bug out when it has the chance. All the glitches and nasty freezing that you have to deal with stupid let me tell you. Android phones are the worse to get. They are not a real professional phone like the iPhone. All android phones do is make hell for your life. They will glitch, freeze, bug and crash when they have the chance. You have to keep rebooting them for some stupid reason. The platform is not safe cause anyone can get on the play store. Also android is just a copy of apple. They copy and make their phone kind of a same name but they get the left overs from I.O.S. Let’s just say. They don’t get the fresh stuff. They get shit. Hahahahahahah. Let’s just say if you use an android you get our leftovers. You really don’t get the real thing. It is our leftovers. So their you are. Android doesn’t get the best of the best. They get our leftovers.

While I am an iOS user since iPhone OS 2, I agree with you.

Apple pride themselves on making mobile computing accessible and simple to navigate. That has been the goal of iOS from the beginning. This simplicity is what’s making iPhones feel limited since majority of people are already are used to using a touch mobile device and some are looking for more features.

I feel like Apple is adamant on providing “power user” features to avoid alienating part of their user base that only wants a phone that works and doesn’t need customizability.

I swear when people keep saying ios is simple and easy to use when it's falls, the pixel seems not only more productive but more simple and less time-consuming. For people who say apple is the best option for simplicity false get the pixel its simple and productive enough thought for me it would be hard to get either since I'm a heavy one ui user and nothing comes close to that when it comes to feature packed.

And you’re using a Pixel phone as your Android example. Imagine how much more you could do on Android with an S23 Ultra. No contest.

So many videos online telling people not to switch to iPhone, yet the data all shows that Android users are switching to iOS at an all time high level. A lot of the use cases you showed seemingly just don’t matter to most people. There are also definite workarounds to some of the customisation issues you highlighted.

This was the best video I found that cleared up my doubts of iphone vs android, as I was going for an upgrade. However, you did miss how annoying apple makes it for useers to switch from iphone back to android if you want to, and even when you switch from andorid to iphone, moving stuffs like whatsapp chat is a pain.

Also, the compatibility with the computer you have at your work/home is a deal too. Iphones work well with mac but on windows pc's its a pain to share stuff and do most of the stuffs. They even dont let android connect to mac easy.

Oh and let's not even get started on they petulantly stubborn choice of still no universal back button
And still not to mention counter intuitive design of functions that are consequence of they attitude and approach, that in the end people never find out until years later after chancing to seeing it
Such as, did you or anyone know that in calculator, you are supposed to swipe left on the number display area when you happen to make a mistake, to delete one digit at a time, instead of having to press clear all and start over from the beginning? Rather than a clear and simple universal and obliquus Delete key like every single other calculator everywhere else, since the beginning and invention of Actual Physical Calculators?
The even more egregious problem is that even since knowing that I still rarely use it because it's so counter everything else and the way that a actual calculator everywhere is supposed to be used
That it just feels wrong as well as being, we can say, objectively wrong, if there ever was any thing any way of doing a calculator wrong
(No wonder they never and still haven't fixed and figured out a way to make a calculator for their iPads; It's almost comical if not so frustrating and infuriating

Precisely
Just text selection itself is needlessly bad and unprecise and cumbersome
What's worse is that due to market share contamination, some of the bad aspects are sometimes copied over to other platforms simply because that's the way "people" are "used to" doing
Such as the recent browser address bar text manipulation; it used to work way better and faster on Android but now it works the same way as on iOS and it's so infuriating specially considering that I have an habit of checking and scrolling through the full address, or reaching to the end or beginning of it and then quickly select a section to edit
Now it default to selecting the wrong sections, or the whole address or very bad inaccurate slow text selection
It's idiotic that it even copies the approach of not giving even a choice

There's certainly a few things I miss about having an iPhone. The system apps definitely worked better in a lot of ways. I also miss the more cohesive UI that you get with iOS. Ever since Google introduced Android 12 though it has been a huge mixed bag with regards to other companies adopting their UI to match the dynamic wallpaper themes.

I wouldn't switch back though, there's enough things about Android that keep me coming back. The way that the haptic feedback is implemented right out of the box within the keyboard is a big deal to me. Also the freedom to switch default apps is great as well.

For me I like both Android and IOS. I went from being an exclusive Android user to now using an IPhone daily. IOS is getting better with customizations and other Android features. I love how IOS is now optimized with Google Maps, Gmail, Chrome, etc..And the general performance is second to none. The only upper hand Android has is extreme multitasking. Speaking of, multitasking and navigation shortcuts is the REAL drawback to IOS (which you touched on). It’s absolute horrid! Personally, if I could have two phones, it would be an IPhone and the latest Oppo flagship. But I do love Asus and Samsung as well.

This review is one of the most detailed review. I have the both worlds but i like the android much. The only downside of android Samsung s23 ultra or any ultra series is the case support. iphone has a lot of threaded cases for photography lens kit available in the market while samsung has only one or two companies. Hopefull smallrig or ulanzi or apexel will make phone cases for galaxy S ultra which can adapt photgraphy lens kits.

Welp for now I’ll give up on iOS my 13 pro max is failing on me after about a year what most people don’t know on iPhones apple cuts your performance after your maximum Battery capacity reaches around 86% and lower I’ve constantly restarted my phone to refresh phone from studders phone freezing and now my cellular data cuts off often then randomly network reconnects my galaxy note 9 outperforms this phone and I was able to run that phone dry until it couldn’t hold a charge then I was able to have the battery successfully replaced and it worked again who knows in 2 weeks I’m getting s23 ultra not sure if Samsung will be similar?

Just like iPhone's, Apples computers are the same. inconvenient and extreme headache. settings are right there at your finger tip on Android while on IOS you have to go through alot just to turn off Bluetooth or wifi. My God its so annoying and the reason why I was depressed for a year when I decided to get the iPhone X thinking it would be special and different but it was a nightmare and complete headache. Windows like Android also gives you action Eton perform right there, no need to have to go to the task bar to close out on an app you don't even still have open and then you have to click back to the app you are using to do the same. My God why why why? can't they just make it quick and easy. It's too much going back and forth to close programs and apps on Apple's computers but like Android, everything is a complete breeze, quick, convenient, and super easy to get to while OSx is exhausting. Also don't like how Apple has their Taskbar set at the top because having to continously look at the time makes me feel nauseous and is probably why I just can't get into using macs but I've tried and so many times. I just can't stand Unix. It's so plain and boring.

Bah... there are pros and cons to both and it basically comes down to preference. If you ask most iphone users, they probably don't give a d*mn about anything mentioned in this video. They're happily enjoying their seamless Apple ecosystem and FaceTiming their sweethearts.

And that's ok. Neither is right or wrong. Different doesn't mean better, and there are tons of reasons some people prefer IOS.

We take hundreds of small features for granted, which we use on a daily basis on Android that provides a lot of convinience and makes our lives easier.

I often forget all those conviniences and freedom which I as an Android user have been enjoying for many years and which are totally dream features for someone outside Android... And inspite of all that Android doesn't try to restrict us in a specific thing but it itself is so universal that we'll get most of the features in different forms in different phones, and we have the freedom to choose what suits our needs the best and what works for us.

And the fact that i can use any device i want... And everything will have a decent oevel of integration in Android.. some even better.

I can use any windows laptop and my samsung phone is optimised to work seemlessly with it... A very much underrated Samsung Eco system feature.
I can use any smart watch and it'll sync nicely. I can even use any kinda earphones... Of my choice, wired, Neckband type wireless, True wireless etc...
I can even use any tablet to and transfer files to my windows PC or my phone easily... And if i have both Samsung tablet and phone (whichever, even the budget ones), the Integration and eco system is eve better and seemless. It's even possible to have a good integration of Android devices with apple products as well by using Google apps, keyboard etc in IOS!!!

Its not like i MUST buy the same company device to have any level of integration... Windows laptops and iphones have terrible integration... THAT'S ONE REASON I'LL NEVER GO TO APPLE ecosystem, as i want the freedom to chose any laptop or any mobile or any tablet or any watch or any earphone i want.

Doesn't matter IOS does someone better than Android, because I'd rather live my life on my own volition and choose what i want based in what i need, than be a brainwashed follower of a specific company and solely be at their mercy to have any features or convinience.

Watching such videos gives me more appreciation towards my phone.. 😂
