I remember in Sims 2, the parents would pick up the toddler and bring them outside for safety during a fire

Once my Sims (in TS4) called firefighters who came late, when someone already managed to extinguish the fire, and the made me pay for calling for no reason :/

One thing you didn't cover in this video is fire prevention. You can prevent fires by not using certain cooking appliances until your sim's cooking score is higher. I use that strategy all the time.

In Sims 4, if a fire occurs on a community lot, there is no insurance. Fires can only occur on most community lots via mods.

The Sims 1 was so chaotic it was hilarious

I called the fire brigade once because my sim's husband couldn't put out the burning stove and he also started to burn himself. When the fire brigade arrived my sims had already died in the fire and since then I never call the fire brigade when there is a fire in the sims (4 of course) 😑

I would prefer to wait 10 to 15 seconds for an actual fire truck to pull up then for them to just teleport in. I just hate teleporting

I know this is a couple of years old (sorry for that) but I thought I would mention something that was missed. The Aspiration Reward Trait "Naturalist" from the Freelance Botanist Aspiration in The Sims 4. From the Sims 4 Wiki... "Sims that are Naturalists don't need to fear fire; it won't touch them, and they can extinguish it with ease." Sims with the Naturalist Trait are near 100% immune to dying by fire and can more easily and quickly put out fires. If you're not a chaos player and want to give your Sim ever chance at survival, this Trait is a must-get.

Hi just to let you know not only stove may start a fire, fireplaces can start a fire too in sims 1 - 4 I think? but for sims 4 if ur playing as a kid or if you purchase a junior wizard starter set, it may start a fire as well

I wish the Sims 4 had the Sims 1 detail where they had to clean the ashes of a burnt object. Loved that detail

Here’s a little fun fact about my mom: since my mom worked for the coal mine for 15 years, she has more training for extinguishing fires. One day at a saloon. People were saying the roof is on fire! My mom went into a storage room, got a large fire extinguisher with high heels on. She extinguish the fire even before the firefighters arrived. My mom was a true hero, the cause of the fire was a short in the box.

I always found it amusing when you could prank set off the sprinkler system. Watching the Sims run around covering their head from the water was absolutely hilarious

The Sims 2 and 3 are a masterpiece. The sims 4 graphics are soo cartoon like. I can’t even play it just because of the graphics. The sims 2 graphics are better.

Lol, I still remember what happened when I was playing Sims 4 and a fire started. So my sim's kid was on the neighbour's lot, playing with the neighbour kid, and then the neighbour kid's dad started a fire on the grill. The neighbour kid's dad started CRYING, he ran out of the house, his wife and kid also. I had to make my kid extinguish the fire out, because the neighbour family was just trembling outside and the firefighters somehow couldn't get in, and they were just standing, doing nothing.

Sims 3 fire and firefighters are the best, active firefighter career, and all children of the sim for all generations to come get the hidden traits. Call the firefighter and have to wait for them arrive rather than instantly appearing is far better.
