Note how everything is meant to give this an "Underwater Star Wars" look - from the blaster beams to the corridors which look just like the prison corridors where they rescued Princess Leia in Star Wars - the similarity was obvious to me as a kid in 1978.
That said, we didn't get much science fiction back then on TV, so we took what we could get....

Irwin Allen was a good director for his time.He gave us unforgettable 60's Si-Fi series.however,there have been many attempt to reboot those 60's series,but the last lost in space movie bomb at theater when it came out it seal any reboot for the time being.I still believe with good stories and quality Visual effects we can still relived those adventurous moment. A come back is needed!
