I never knew this was a Ukrainian song.
But now that i know, it sounds very much like the typical Eastern European orchestral piece. Like many of the Soviet anthems, i can very much hear it now.

Lot of choir music reminiscent, of orthodox chants.

Author of this song "Schedryk" is Mykola Leontovych, was killed by russians in 1921.

Also need to know fact. Before the invasion of christianity our ancestors sang these types of songs what we call ``shchedryk`` on ``velykden' `` (``bigday``) aka easter, when everything is melting away and winters murk is gone completely, New Year naturally started in spring time, when everything is awakening from deep slumber. The second month of spring we call ``kviten' `` (flower) when Velykden' begins and when the bird ``lastivka`` (swallow) comes back to our lands which is in the lyrics of this songs so it`s obvious. Christianity messed up our traditions, made different dates, named differently to make it fit their needs and their gods, but no matter how hard they tried to erase and kill our true faith and tradition that came along, they could not get rid of it completely so they had to merge it, to worship their foreign holyness. Slava Dazhbogu, slava naviky!

In 1922 Ukrainians sought support of the whole world by demonstrating their culture. Everyone liked the songs but no one helped and some geniuses like Americans advertised them as Russians. In 2022 Ukraine had the support, but what hasn’t changed is Russia. Just like in 1917-1922, it tries to occupy Ukraine and kills its people. Some countries just never change. I doubt there is a singe country that attacked the other specific country as much as Russia did with Ukraine. Even Britain left Ireland alone, Russia never changes

Extraordinaria melodía!!! Siempre creí que era una canción hecha para Mi Pobre Angelito (Home Alone).

La escena que Kevin (Macaulay Culkin) se despide con la pregunta "¿Qué harán usted y su hijo?" de su vecino Marley (Roberts Blossom) quien le responde "Ya veremos qué pasa", me saca lágrimas del interior por una sensación de pena por el qué vendrá, sin perder la ilusión de que algo mejor llegará a sanar nuestras tristezas.

Me sorprendió saber que esta canción fue escrita por un compositor ucraniano, Mikola Dmítrovich Leontóvich (Микола Дмитрович Леонтович), quien hizo honor a la Navidad con un aura de Misterio que evoca Esperanza ante la desesperación, coincidiendo con el tercer año de la Primera Guerra Mundial, en la que se celebró la famosa tregua de Navidad que marcó un tiempo de paz en medio del conflicto.

A los ciudadanos de Ucrania, mis más sinceras felicitaciones por tan maravilloso aporte al Espíritu de la Humanidad.
