Put simply (as I see it) culture wars have always been right wing attempts at dividing the nation in order to rule it.

The culture wars were a way to distract from the real harm being done to public services by causing infighting in society. I was a junior doctor in 2014-2016 for one of the first major culture wars. Where the public were turned against doctors who were trying to alert them of the encroaching privatisation and patient safety issues in the NHS. Look at the results today. They are distraction and they work/ed.

We need to learn from them and listen to those who have real lived experience when things are going awry.

How do people like Braverman, Dorries, Greene, and Boebert become so full of hate? Seriously, what happened to them? Some people are born with antisocial personality disorder, I realise that - but most people with that disorder are made that way by their upbringing. Also, APD people do not necessarily hate everyone else, they have no empathy and consider themselves to be superior to all other humans, they don't necessarily hate them. Not like these people seem to hate.

Is that true about the National Trust thing? That people were outraged to be shown the history of our country and how slaves were used in building it? I think culture wars was just another phrase for political correctness, in the same way that woke seems to have replaced social awareness; not to be confused with people who don't get jokes and try to cancel comedians, who I just call totalitarian left now. But generally, it's anything that takes peoples' rights away to be awful to other people for some reason or another
