I'm in Jamaoca - zone 13, 500ft above sea level. In one of our parishes - Mandeville which is generally a cool place and much higher above sea level where they are generally grown. Where I am we don't have winter conditions but it's generally cool. Any advice?

I've done everything backwards lol... I started at the end of September by buying bare roots from Amazon. Everbearing and they have been doing well for 3 weeks now. A few are even flowering in October. I tried to copy the Kratky method with juice bottles while using soil. Those grew the fastest but now the ones with the biggest leaves and few flowers are the ones I grew in pots.

From seed i'm waiting that they survive the winter and was like only the two inicial leaves and one leaf. Now close to summer are starting to grow faster. Now they have like 3 Big leaves and the crow noticing. I hope they survive

This is my first year ever of trying to garden, today i bought several little strawberry plants from someone, they're not too bushy yet but old enough that they've made several runners already. Is it okay for me to plant them right now and maybe fertilize them too like usual since its almost fall? Or should i do it a bit differently since theyre still young and stuff?

I know it's a dumb question but the straw you're using is that seeding straw, animal bedding straw or...? I can only find EZ Straw With Tack. I couldn't see the brand you used to put down so I'm left asking that question. I'm a newbie and want to do it right the first time.

Hello I have 2 strawberries in my garden. I bought them as small plants; however, they produce real tiny smuchie plants. They are so soft, that as they turn red and we pick them, they squeeze out in our hands. The plants are in my small garden in a raised bed. We are in zone 6a in Canada, so we have a short growing season. I fertilize maybe say every 2 weeks or whenever I remember, lol! Would you know what's wrong with my strawberries or did I get the wrong ones? I had the same issue last year.

I decided to grow avocados from seeds, I’ve always had a red thumb but decided to try different ways…I’ve now successfully grown 21 avocado trees (which I will graft hass to).

My husbands brother is a horticulturalist and told us that Strawberries where hard. I decided to try anyway and it’s going very very well so far. We currently live in a caravan in South Australia while looking for a rental so all of my plants are in terracotta pots at the moment but once we secure a house I plan to start a bigger (but movable and renter friendly) garden to cut down on our grocery costs because food here in Australia is insanely expensive. I used to be proud living here but now…I feel like a prisoner.

I grow quite a few varieties in zone 5 with a matted grid system, basically oversized matted rows. Have harvested 1.5 gallons in the last 3 days as the first variety is ready. The Sequoia is one sweet berry. Planted Mara Du Bois the first time this spring, patiently awaiting to try them.

So you don't have to replace the patch every 5 years, you just divide the strawberry plants up so that the individual plants aren't competing with each other and that renews the patch?

I have a strawberry plant that I bought at the store in a hanging container. I haven’t removed them from the container I bought them in. I keep the soil moist but not too wet, but the leaves of the plant are turning brown at the edges and I don’t understand why. It seems to be growing berries just fine, but the leaves are turning brown at the edges, do you know what I might be doing wrong? This is my first year growing strawberries. I don’t know if I need to put more water, less water, give it more or less sun, or if it’s something completely different. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I really don’t want my strawberry plant to die

Any suggestions on those terrorist terracotta pots that are specifically made for growing strawberries? Do I just plant 1 big 1 at the top and let the runners fill in all the spots down towards the middle and bottom or do I put a plant in each spot that's available
