So you say "Dictator Putin should read more history" and then you tell the same story as he did. Good job.
ОтветитьUkraine is not borderland, kraina means „country”, Ukraina means the same „country”, you are repeating Russian propaganda Sir
ОтветитьWikipedia: "Massacres of Poles in Volhynia and Eastern Galicia"
ОтветитьNow that the Tucker Carlson interview of Vladimir Putin is out, uncut and unedited, I'd like to see them make a proper response/analysis after the 30 minute history lesson he gave Tucker, which by the way was quite interesting in itself.
He also mentioned in that interview that parts of the territory of Soviet Ukraine were once parts Poland, Hungary and Romania, a piece of info that unfortunately Indy and Spartcus did not mention, unless they have a rebuttal. And it was because of this that they got to the conclusion that Ukraine is an artifical state.
Putler became Putler the Dwarf and not as he wanted Putin the Great. He don't care about reading the history. He belive that he is strong enough to be able to MAKE history according to his own small brain😂😂.... Slava Ukraine, 🇺🇦💪🙏
ОтветитьI needed this vid when Russia invaded in 2014
Had a friend who watched only RT. He said Ukrainians never existed and they where Russian
My only counterpoint was the SS listed them as a seperate people. (Not really a good argument)😢
The coolest guys on the Internet. Laying down historical facts like concrete. I have been watching/listening to a lot of your videos for the last few days, and I have learnt a lot. Thank you.
ОтветитьUkrainian nationalism is very supportive of nazism.
ОтветитьI love the use of the term "Russian dictator vladimir putin" because that's exactly what that treacherous cunt is, and I hope he gets the mussolini treatment soon enough
ОтветитьThank you for including that bit about left/right banks of a river. I did not know that!
ОтветитьEnter The Cossacks… uh oh, sounds like trouble.
ОтветитьSo Ukraine is just as valid a country as Russia. ^^
ОтветитьYou should have mentioned that Kozacks and Khmelnicky himself very quickly realized what it means to be under Russian shoe... and then Mazepa uprising.
ОтветитьGreat video, guys
ОтветитьPutin does not try to learn history or understand Ukrainians, he simply rewrites history in his own way to justify the occupation of a foreign country at the cost of millions of lives
ОтветитьI have been watching your videos of past conflicts for over a year. I never imagined that the day would come when your videos would include a current conflict involving Ukraine and Russia. I hope and pray that cease fire negotiations start soon and I grieve at the loss of some many civilian lives. For the Russians, this negotiation will be a difficult thing. Continuing the conflict for Russia just doesn't make any sense. Praying for peace, everyday.
ОтветитьThe history is written by humans. No one will ever know for sure what happened. We should just stick to the present,
ОтветитьIn my mind, Putin is trying to put back together the Soviet Union with a bit of capitalism in it.
ОтветитьI love your channel keep up the great stuff!!
ОтветитьThe Cossacks caused a lot of political and military troubles with Russia especially during Catherine the Greats rule
Ответить“An imagined political community” How does that make any sense?
ОтветитьQuite good. It really fills out a lot not included in prior videos and provides a nicely balanced "judgment" as to how "natural" Ukraine is compared to other countries. (That is, as you say - "the same".)
Ответитьcounties and counts would be a better global polity and politician than nations and prime ministers
ОтветитьWhat is interesting is that we are constantly hearing about Galicia. Not just in this video, but in many about this region and in many books. And yet, Galicia is not a "nation" or a "state". I see early Ukraine as similar. This also applies to the Czechs and Slovaks. In what became Yugoslavia, there were many "nations", which have now separated. Ukraine is a region, with constantly shifting borders, that existed well into the past.
ОтветитьYou use the term "nation". Do you mean "state"? For example, in the UK there four "nations", but one "state". Canada is likewise divided by French speaking and English speaking "nations", and many "first nations", but is one state.
ОтветитьEvery state made up? What about England and the UK? What about Greece and Italy, just to name a few.
ОтветитьOk I just got a 1970s marvel flashback, what's happening...
ОтветитьI think the better question is: what other non-russian states are in Russia. Ohh... i'm sorry. Russian FEDERATION.
I think it would be premature to think the fall of the URSS has actually ended. In terms of history, 30 years is nothing. And it only took 30 years for Ukraine to go from "yeah we're russian"... to "no, we're ukrainian".
Think about the fall of the Roman empire. Took 1000 years for the eastern half to fall.
So, I don't think URSS has done falling. Or... forgive me, the Russian Federation. I don't think it has done falling. "The greatest catastrophe of the 20th century" wasn't the fall of URSS. Just as the greatest catastrophe of the 21th century wont be the breakup of the Russian Federation.
Not much of a country. They just pick and choose who's Russian. Ukrainians, Georgians, Chechens, Moldovans, Belarusians... for Putin makes no difference. THEY ARE ALL RUSSIAN. In actual fact, maybe they are not all Russians. Maybe Kremlin is the little bother to the older sister of Kievan Rus.
I am Romanian and I hate Putin. I don't hate the people living under him and am happy to meet them, as they describe themselves. Not as Putin describes them as Russian. They are mostly likely NOT Russian. They are something else. The "Russian" identity comes on top of what they actually are. Russia is a fake country, with a terrorist government in charge of nuclear weapons. The only reason we have a modicum of trust towards them is because we know Putin can't unilaterally start a nuclear war. There is no button. There are people in the field that have to obey his order, and they wont. And that's why we still respect Russia. Because of those men and women.
I think all Russians should be forced to read Tolstoy`s [How much land does a man need? ]. Maybe they could learn a thing or two.
ОтветитьWhich Nord keyboard is that?
ОтветитьSpartacus gives me James Hetfield vibes and I'm here for it.
ОтветитьExcellent video Spartacus. The Russian sock-puppets should be made to watch this.
ОтветитьGood work
ОтветитьSubbed
ОтветитьYes, I already realized he is committing the same mistakes as hitler did in the Soviet Union
ОтветитьSpartacus wears suits so well that he is easily a fashion icon in his own right.
Ответитьwelcome to the west, Ukrainian friends!
ОтветитьGreat job guys.
ОтветитьMost people don't realize that Russia centuries ago was like Italy being multiple kingdoms and duchys. Russians were actually Ukrainians because of Kievan Rus and before that the duchy of moscovy. In short. Ukraine was around before Russia was Russia.
ОтветитьToo bad Poland really resented the Orthodox Ukrainians.....they are Catholic and it was always a problem.
Orthodoxy is a religion of happiness, glory and beauty.
I would like to know more about the Azov Brigades???
ОтветитьRasput.. i mean Putin should subscribe to this channel, and maybe learn history.
ОтветитьIt seems like in considering the problem of how to get rid of the idea of Ukrainian nationhood Putin has been inspired by the words of another Dictator, Stalin " No person, no problem".
Ответитьprecision !
Some Soviet republics' borders were drawn in a way to create an inconsistent mix of ethnicities within a same republic.
And that was meant to make it harder for nationalist within said republics to unite the whole of the people.
I'd love an episode in this series on the history of Belarus. Loving the series!
Ответить👍 👍 👍!!!
ОтветитьIf the Russian origin isn't from the Kievan Rus where does it begin ?
ОтветитьWell done
ОтветитьI'm pretty sure that Putin knows all that and then some more...
Ответить
