I think about that day
I left him at a Greyhound station
West of Santa Fé
We were seventeen, but he was sweet and it was true
Still I did what I had to do
'Cause I just knew
Summer Sunday nights
We'd sink into our seats
Right as they dimmed out all the lights
A Technicolor world made out of music and machine
It called me to be on that screen
And live inside each scene
Without a nickel to my name
Hopped a bus, here I came
Could be brave or just insane
We'll have to see
'Cause maybe in that sleepy town
He'll sit one day, the lights are down
He'll see my face and think of how
He used to know me
Climb these hills
I'm reaching for the heights
And chasing all the lights that shine (lights that shine)
And when they let you down (it's another day of)
You'll get up off the ground (it's another day of)
'Cause morning rolls around
And it's another day of sun
I hear 'em every day
The rhythms in the canyons
That'll never fade away
The ballads in the barrooms
Left by those who came before
They say "you gotta want it more"
So I bang on every door
And even when the answer's "no"
Or when my money's running low
The dusty mic and neon glow
Are all I need
And someday as I sing my song
A small-town kid'll come along
That'll be the thing to push him on and go, go
Climb these hills, I'm reaching for the heights
And chasing all the lights that shine (lights that shine)
And when they let you down (it's another day of)
You'll get up off the ground (it's another day of)
'Cause morning rolls around
And it's another day of sun
And when they let you down
The morning rolls around
It's another day of sun (oh)
It's another day of sun (oh)
It's another day of sun (sun, sun, sun, sun)
It's just another day of sun (oh)
Just another day of sun (oh)
It's another day of sun (sun)
Another day has just begun (oh)
It's another day of sun
It's another day of sun

ОтветитьThis clip is my go-to dopamine boost whenever I'm having a bad day, a good day or just a day
ОтветитьA few years ago, the dance school I attended used this song for my tap class during our summer recital. You have no idea how much nostalgia this song gives me, reminiscent to when things were happier, and simpler. Props to anyone who reads this.
ОтветитьMit der Eröffnungs Szene haben sie alles Pulver verschossen , dann wird es nur noch la la langweilig 👎
ОтветитьIconic really.
ОтветитьTHIS right here was the Best Picture of 2016, folks. The opening scene alone is pure genius. La La Land was robbed.
ОтветитьFluoxetine, fluoxetine, citalopram, citalopram
ОтветитьThis is really goddamn white.
ОтветитьAll that was missing from this movie was a scene where the plucky small town actor with a heart of gold gets passed up for the role because Jeff Goldblum's neice needs a part
Ответить映画アカデミー賞並みに素晴らしい😃
ОтветитьThis should have been a return to the big cinematic soul-fest feeling of the early colour movies. So many of the ingredients are there. But there's something missing - I can't figure out what it is.
ОтветитьThat title screen summed up the core theme of La La Land so well
ОтветитьGrease wibes🎉
ОтветитьThe first time I saw this in a theater I got into a shouting match with a group of people who came in halfway thru this opening looking for their seats. It was about 5 people with their phone lights on looking at seat numbers.
ОтветитьThey’re still stuck on the freeway to this day.
ОтветитьAnother Day of Sun

THIS WHOLE TIME THIS SONG PLAYED THE SEQUENCE WAS ON A HIGHWAY????
“My disappointment, is immeasurable, and my day is ruined.”
Best opening of any movie! ❤
ОтветитьI find it amazing that they had people with drums in the back of the truck
ОтветитьI love this picture! This scene gives me chill and cheer me up at the same time!
ОтветитьPure celebration of Life (and its struggles) and of Humanity

I hate singing in movies. I hate dancing in movies. I hate musicals. I love this movie.

ОтветитьRemember LA and the freeways fifty years ago, hi from Germany
ОтветитьThis Movie Is A Lot better than High school Musical And Cats 2019.
ОтветитьWho cares,this film is magnificent!!
Ответитьthis is just Frosty the Snowman!⛄️
Ответитьthis was so theatrical, dramatic, and unrealistic, I absolutely love it. to hell with reality.
ОтветитьAwful film
ОтветитьWe were asked to write an essay on a musical of our choice and I decided tp choose the one that warms my heart the most.
ОтветитьIf this was December 2022, California would be drenching in rain (with probably some ice and sleet mixed in)
ОтветитьWhat an amazing choreo
ОтветитьAnd not a single car alarm went off.
ОтветитьArt 100%!!!
ОтветитьLA on falla 🎉😂
