To be fair to past Vance, when you're perceived as "white trash," police are absolutely horrible to you. I grew up in a trailer park and the cops were absolutely awful to all of us. A friend of mine - blonde haired, blue eyed Aryan bro - once got arrested for "walking on the wrong side of the road." Yes, the cop dragged him in and finger printed him and everything. As insane as that was, we all knew if he'd been black, they'd have shot him on the spot.
