"It seems too good to be true" yea bro thats because it probably is. Sites like this are full of scammers and use predatory tactics like those time limits to drive hype and FOMO and get people to click buy without thinking things through. Acting like it's just some fun easy way to grab amazing deals on "basically perfect condition" products is misleading, especially when you are getting paid to promote it.

Let's be honest, you have been pushing this AliExpress tier auction site because they paid you a bunch of money and this is just the most blatant in a line of recent sponsor integrations. Why waste half the video pretending it's part of the content, who wants to see 7 minutes of an extended ad with you reviewing pre-recorded footage and just narrating like it was live. Just show off the products and say hey btw I bought them from this platform at the end.

You said in the comments "its no different from a real auction" but that's not really accurate. Real auctions usually give you time to verify and inspect, not to mention a lot of these have people looking at the product in person or are run by more credible and verified sellers. Whatnot gives you 10 seconds, some amateur shaky video of the product, and a some rando seller you have never heard of. It's essentially gamified impulse spending, wowie you just need to swipe up to spend a couple hundred bucks.

As for your argument "hey scammers are everywhere it's not my fault" you are missing the point. Scams happen on every seller platform, obviously we all know this. But you are the one choosing to partner with this specific one, that makes you responsible for doing your homework and warning people about the risks, not brushing them off. As a tech reviewer you should recognize that your job isn't just to show off products it is to inform consumers, that means promoting caution if there is a risk to them. Not normalizing shady platforms because "hey there are a ton of shady platforms out there." Just search up Whatnot on any social media site like Reddit and you'll see the posts from people getting scammed. In the last week I've seen 2 big videos about card scams being rampant on the site, its not really hard to do the due diligence.

If someone is dumb and falls for an obvious scam I am not saying it is your fault. But don't you think it would be more responsible for you to talk about the risks and say in the video "hey this is an auction site with individual sellers, look at reviews, don't just blindly swipe" but instead you act like these are all great legit deals. I mean most major tech channels (LTT, MKBHD, Arun etc.) when covering things like marketplace, AliExpress, or Kickstarter will caution people extensively about the risks.

This is a slot machine with shipping fees, not a platform for a guaranteed good deal.

I don't think that PS3 is a back compat unit. The ones that were back compat were the og 20/60gb with hardware back compat and the MGS4 80gb version with the software back compat. Those 3 models all had chrome trim.

This is 100% gambling as there is a random chance involved with winning and you aren't naming your price yourself.
