In the UK we had milk at lunch everyday, but it was taken away by a "conservative", now that tax money is spent on immigrants. Japan does not have this problem. They do not accept people who should not be there, and their children still get free milk.

Pay attention to this.

Does the math work out for this being self supporting with only the Parents paying for the lunches? Seems to me it would have to be a tightly run ship to keep up with overhead costs of transport, initial equipment, building and land.

School kitchens in most countries:
Tile floors with mouldy grout, mess are ignored until closing.
School kitchen in Japan:
Not a single spec of dirt must touch the food.

Im legitimately jealous lol. Not only do I love Japanese food maybe more than any other country/culture but I remember being in grade school and one of the rare times I even got school lunch was a corn dog. I sat down took a bite and when I went for another I saw there were green mold spots on it....

It’s impressive that the Chef is more focused on generating food understanding and soon to be adults being able to cook for themselves. The food being made is impressive, but the hope these kids will grow up to embrace healthy eating even better. Fresh food cooked from scratch, there is no substitute.
