Love this iPad! Amazon sells a third party, Apple Pencil 2-like pencil that charges by Type-C that works perfectly with this device for $25…problem solved

I need the usb c port, so, with the 9th gen, i would have to buy the 40 usd adapter, bumping the price to 370. This makes the price difference comes to 90 bucks. Then, for 90 dollars, i have the landscape camera, the dual set speakers and the new design, among other stuff.
Just ordered my silver 10th gen for 399 on best buy!

I currently have a generation 6 iPad and I feel it's time to upgrade. Logitech makes a really good keyboard cover that's almost half the price of the magic keyboard, so I'm getting that one instead. The more expensive models are more than I need. I have the first gen. Pencil and don't want to pay extra for the 2nd gen. So this one seems perfect for me.

I love this iPad too. I bought an iPad Air 5, although I'll probably never need the full power of the M1. I would be more than satisfied with the iPad 8th generation. I'm actually German, but I like English videos because most of them are of great quality.

Love it, big upgrade over my Gen 5 9.7. I’d still be using the Gen 5 but I dropped it one too many times. I don’t use pencil or keyboard so those were non-issues for me.

I got a Blue one about 3 Weeks ago and i'm loving it so far, i'm looking to buy an Apple Folio Case, i might buy an Apple Pencil but not right now since i mostly use the iPad for gaming and watching videos (tho i still do a lot of other stuff on it as well)

Can you type while the keuboard is detacched from the keyboard?

I'am wondering if selecting some words from picture or screenshot and copy paste somewhere else is only for 10th gen or do they have for the other apple tablets? I'm gonna buy my first tablet from apple and I really need to know this as a language student. Cuz if they don't have this for air then i'll buy 10th generation.

IPad 10 ( A 14 ) is trash , Air 4 ( A14) is better , IPad 9 cost 280 bucks like keyboard price for iPad 10 . And no laminated screen in 2023 is bad joke and for 450 bucks looks strange , IPad mini 6 is cool ( but problem with screen , hope in IPad mini 7 will be normal screen without problem to read ) . And no 128 Gb memory and Stage manager with laminated screen is time to buy better IPad Pro m1 with 128, Air 4 or IPad 9 256 Gb + lte . IPad 10 is rich unloved Air 5,4 ( colours say more ) and accessories from iPad Air 4,5 don’t work with iPad 10 . Apple Pencil 1 is normal , but 10 bucks is stupid to buy . Type C with 480 Gb like lighting is big laught , Air 4 have 5 Gb can transfer files speed . And this IPad no revolution , it’s bad created IPad with poor screen , that makes poor , that before was rich Liqued Retina from IPad Pro 2018 . It’s sad and makes other IPads looks better and makes sense buy

A good way to solve the pencil problem is by not getting the Apple Pencil. There's just as good 3rd party alternatives that are cheaper than quite frankly make more sense than buying either of Apples choices. I also wouldn't get the type cover. It just doesn't make sense $ wise.

I hate everything about this new iPad…

After researching a bit, I am picking up the 10th generation IPad over the Pro for work and some leisure (FaceTime and Garage band). I am otherwise an Android user and my entire family use Apple phones. Also, I want to review plans for work while I am at a job site or remote meeting. I've always enjoyed the use of a pencil with my Samsung Note and so I'm looking forward to taking notes and drawing sketches on the IPad and ditching the paper since I simply scan my hand sketches for work anyway.

What many people don’t understand is that if you maybe wanted to upgrade from an older iPad such as air 3 or even iPad 7 or 6, and you already own a 1st gen apple Pencil ,then it does make sense to save money by buying the 10th gen iPad. You don’t have to spend another 100$ on another Pencil .

Do you use the apple pencil? Is it usefull on the ipad, without the magnets?
Any good magnetic desk stands? Can't find any..

I'm not too sure why people are asking not to buy the iPad 10th generation. I have enough for one and will be upgrading from my iPad 2 from 2015 to the iPad 10th generation.

to anyone who is gonna reply to my comment, please don't make fun of me for having an iPad that released 10 or 11 years ago. We didn't have enough money to get the iPad we all wanted. I do not use it anymore because of how terrible it is now, but I am super excited to get the iPad 10th generation. the colors look amazing and I can't wait to have it.

I dont know why it is a probblem to charge the pencil with cable?... i charge my ipad, iphone and headphones with cable... so why not the pencil? .. and have the front camera in right place as bonus? I also think that Apple was thinking that this 10th gen was suppost to be the cheapest ipad but delayed retirement the old 10,2 because many still like the good old button. The ipad that i dont understand in the line-up is the Ipad Air. It is so close to Ipad Pro in price and many things, but lacking the most important thing af all Ipads... the 120 hz screen🤔 Daily use on 10th gen and Air you dont see any diffirent other than better front camera on the ceaper one

I just ordered the blue version I’m upgrading from my 2018 ipad.
This one is good enough for what I use it for, no need to spend the extra money on an air or pro model.

All the reviewers are being so hard on this poor iPad 10th Gen, but trust me it's actually so good, especially for a student. The screen is wider on this one, and the display is good, the camera quality (for online classes and scanning) is also really better than the 9th Generation one. Plus, what they're making a big deal about is apparently the Pencil charging thing, which, according to me, shouldn't even be such a headache. Because firstly, the pencil holds the charge for a long long time, and if you get it to 100% once it's gonna last you for ages before you'll need to charge it. Also, this one's got built in 5G, and WiFi 6, which is also a plus point. The design of this one is so much similar to the iPad Air, it's the twin of iPad Air, frankly.
But overall, what I really love about this iPad is the number of colors you can pick from. Blue, yellow, pink, white- they're all really cute colours and I've got the yellow one so I'm perfectly happy with my yellow iPad :)

I got this iPad a few months ago, about 2/3 weeks after it came out, i bought the Logitech crayon and combo touch for it, and i actually am in love with it, i use it for my content creation, meetings for work etc. honestly i love it and it was well worth the slightly higher price for me than it would have been for the 9th generation. Considering before this iPad, i had the iPad Air 2nd generation, so much better, much more usable by far and everything is so smooth and works flawlessly

I bought the keyboard and 5G. It is my first iPad and I think it is a great option that is mobile and functional with the keyboard. I agree that the pen is strange because there is no place to attach it and the way it charges.

I also have bought one for me, so far I have enjoyed the device, I was wondering if any usb c hub would work with it. A basically need to share my screen for presentations and have a usb a port, if I buy a thunderbolt usb c hub, will it work but with less speed or should look for a hub specific for it? I’m trying to avoid apple’s adapter because here in Brazil the price it’s just nonsense

I just got the iPad 10th gen for Xmas and so far I love it! I hope to get the keyboard and Apple Pencil to go with it. I enjoy animating a lot and I think this iPad does a really nice job for any digital artist out there. There’s also a screen protector you can buy that makes the screen feel like paper. So basically when drawing or writing with that screen protector it can make it much more comfortable then just the normal screen. Having that friction in my option really helps and very unique for a screen protector. Just my thoughts but I have no regrets with this iPad

Got a $20 usb c pencil and it does stick magnetically above the camera.. also the a14 gpu is better than I expected in the bigger ipad housing

It’s for those who still use an ipad with pencil 1 , if they want to upgrade, based on the features it’s technically the same as the recent ipads so why upgrade? A lot of people uses the ipad but are still practical different from those who sells and upgrade whenever a new one comes out.

I’ve never owned an iPad. If I were to purchase one it would most likely be the newer model. I would only use it to watch movies while out on the road. Then again my phone already does that so….🤷🏻‍♂️

Overpriced shit

It’s actually a great tablet I’ve changed my mind, and I’m guessing most users don’t use a pencil or a keyboard…. If it was 50-75$ US cheaper, it would awesome, maybe on sale or springtime…

The pencil was practically a dealbreaker for me... that was until I realized that Logitech made a new Crayon that uses USB-C and a new Logitech Combo Touch case and keyboard (the white one from Apple is hideous). I ended up buying a 10th gen iPad with LTE and the case and crayon from Logitech. Those products together make me quite happy.

I have the iPad pro 4th generation. In '21 or '22 Logitech releases a keyboard system for the 12.9 tablet. It's very much like your keyboard. I got it because it was the only keyboard licensed by Apple to build around their connector mechanisms; it's charged by the iPad. The other selling point for me is the inclusion of functionkeys. It has a very responsive touch pad. The keyboard system is really for later models of the 12.9 devices but outside of some speaker wholes misalignment, the fit and the strudiness are what I was in the market for. Last point for me: the case offers complete surrounding for the iPad leaving only a slot for the Apple pencil 2. I don't recall if you mentioned this feature but the Logitech keyboard is backlit with adjustable level on a dimmer style. If Apple had this type of keyboard, I likely would have saved up to buy it. I'm happy to see Apple including this type of keyboard and I hope they continue to expand availability to other of their tablets. I'll need watching. I enjoyed your review. Thanks.

I have an iPad 10 and it’s serving me well! If I had more money, I would’ve gotten an iPad Pro but my Dad needed a newer iPad for work as his old Mini can’t run certain apps he needs. Therefore, I got myself an iPad 10 and let him have my iPad Air 3! Attaching your Apple Pencil to an adaptor is cumbersome, I can’t deny, but it still beats shelling out over £100 for a whole new Apple Pencil!
