Schott NYC 613 One Star Perfecto Leather Jacket Restock

I have the same jacket and you’re right about being stiff and boxy. I’m doing my best to break it in though. I guess I have the rest of my life to accomplish it.

Thankfully I discovered the Vanson highwayman before I bit the bullet on a Schott. I didn't want to join the fast fashion fad train that is becoming synonymous with the Schott brand. The Vanson leather quality and workmanship are a step above Schott and much more comfortable for actual motorcycle riding. I do like the Schott jackets but there are definitely better options out there. Not a fan of those belts and epaulets on these jackets.

If Im 6’ tall 185 42” chest should I get a 42 or 44? I picked up a vintage brooks 42 its too short.

There is ONE alternative for price to quality by comparison to Schott: Simmons Bilt. They do made-to-order leather jackets, with overall build quality that is actually better than Schott (I know- I own jackets from both brands), and Simmons Bilt, if you go made to order, are actually the same price or even a little less than the average Schott jacket. Give their website a look over, they're very worth checking out.

Perfect length. When it comes to Perfecto it's all about the length imo. Mine is without the jacket-belt, I took it off. For me, when they're too long (that is for me: covering the belt of your trousers) they are totally lame. When they allow the belt to be seen, it's edgy and how it should be. Any other opinions on the perfect length of Perfectos? I know it's a matter of controversy.

I don’t live in Vancouver, but I have found a retailer that sells the 613S near me in Dallas. Gonna stop by there in a few days and get myself one.

This jacket is sick I was gonna get the 626vn but I wanna earn the comfort of my jacket. I wanna break it in rather than it already be broken in. I like how this one looks like the back sits a little higher as well

Im 6.1 same as you, with a 35 chest. Im just wondering about the length of the jacket being 24 inches at size 36 against 25 in 40.. I do have a 118 size 36 so the length of that seems right on point. Think a 613/618 could look ok worn open?

I'm a bit too scared to get my Schott wet in the rain because it was so expensive, but it sounds like you've had an easy time with it?

that 613 looks amazing. I hope mine will fade in the same way but it s gonna be a longer and harder process as it is the horsehide one (super stiff when new)

Dude that jacket looks awesome on you

The front of the shoulders feel a little tight and uncomfortable when wearing the jacket standing up with my arms down, especially when unzipped. I got the right size jacket and everywhere else feels comfortable. It's pretty broken in at this point. Is that something you noticed? The tightness is not terrible but it's something i think about a lot. When driving in my car, i don't experience that tightness it's just when standing up with my arms down and also when i'm walking. It makes me subconsciously lift my shoulders up just a bit in order to make that discomfort disappear.

These jackets modern cuts aren’t sized for full grown men. I have a jacket from the 80s that fits great. Bought a new one and my arms wouldn’t fit in the sleeves. The armpits cut into me. Lats were super snug while my stomach was so loose.

Beautiful jacket. I’m 5’9” 165 lbs. 40” chest and a 32” waist. I am looking for a slim fit 613 and won’t be layering underneath for cold weather as I live in Hawaii. Would you recommend a 40 or 38?
