I think it would be scarier if it was with Gore blood. Surprisingly enough it wasn’t even close, but it is perfect to scare a bunch of children. Even though I never found it scary of course around that time I was around maybe 12 years old watching this film.

When I was like a four year older, I used to watch this film and the first time I watched this film with the leopard seal for the first time I got a legitimate jump scare

There was a scene that scared the hell out of me as a kid which I still vividly remember.
When some kid penguins slide down of ice into the deep water, a huge block of ice breaks off and reveals an excavator stuck in it, which then falls into the water. The shot of it almost falling on the main penguin, barely missing and then sinking deeper and deeper into the pitch black depth of the ocean untill it's no longer visible gives me the shivers even now.

I think the whole point of the movie is to show us how nature works and that animals need to kill to eat to survive in the wild.

Being afraid of deep water is very justified

I’ve watched this movie ever since I was a kid. I wasn’t too scared of it. But if your saying if true. Then it’s a horror movie.🤷🏻

As someone who always watched documentaries more graphic than this it didn't really bother me but I can definitely understand this and question why this was marketed towards kids.
