ОтветитьLove it. My first car was a white Escort Mk1 (1973) 1100 with these chrome hub caps. I put a 1300 Sport engine /gearbox in it and these Sport flared arches. Sold it in 1992 for £725… kinda wishing I hadn’t!

ОтветитьI watched the series where they were building this, including the extra fancy rear suspension... and I don't get it. It's a lovely restoration, don't get me wrong, but I don't see the need for the overly complex suspension conversion - especially on a road car. Even the most competitive mk1/mk2 cars don't usually stray too far away from the live axle with a 3, 4, 5 or 6 link setup. And they work very well. This just seems complex for the sake of being complex.
