I really enjoyed this. As far as I can tell, it is very accurate and well detailed.
But I do have one criticism. The pronunciations of various terms are names. Many of them are off, most only slightly, but I thought it was worth pointing out. Or am I going mad? Does anyone agree?
Still, great video, you've got yourself a subscriber.

Sucks that other people just complain for his mispronunciation. But never appreciate the amount of effort he put together, for those amazing visual aid.

You forgot the Black Age, lycantrophy plague, when the Cousland were founded. Bann Haelia Cousland fought against werewolves and that's how the Cousland become Teyrn, powerful next only to royalty. You also forgot how important the plot for Human Noble Origin where Arl Howe trying to wipe out the Cousland.

Thedas got it's name from Necessity. "The Dragon-Age-Setting"...THEDAS.

I appreciate this video, and the amount of research and effort that went into it. That being said, these pronunciations are absolutely killing me.

Not to be that guy, but the order of Arl and Bann was backwards. It goes king>Teryn>Arl>Bann>Lord/knight

Wow. Just got into Dragon Age. This is amazing. So much Lore.

I think the coolest part of this is that I just realized, as a history teacher, that the creative writing for the setting you play in in the first and second games is the early middle ages to late. The Qunari are the other worldly Ottoman Turks (Muslims) with gunpowder that can take down any castle (Constantinople). Orlais and Tevinter are the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches of Christianity (they had a Great Schism too). I guess that would make Orlais Italy, and give them the Renaissance. Tevinter would be Russia then with the backwater feeling they get from the world. Free marches could be a catch all or steppe peoples..Maybe Mongols or Vikings? Ferelden is France or Britain. Not sure what the others are.

To think by the end of Inquisition the Inquisitor had power over ALL of them, no wonder they either wanted it to disband or cower. Inquisitor really couldve ruled thedas if they were evil enough 😂

there is something insanely unfair about the fact that one of the only nations that avoided the direct bite of the Qunari invasion being Orlais, who had just done to others, what the Qun wanted to do to all of Thedas.

So from what we can understand there was 7 Dragons that Tevinter worshipped. But they started worshiping them after Elves fell. But Elves had 9 "Gods." They killed 1 and 1 betrayed the others. So the 7 that left could be those 7 "dragons" that Tevinter worshipped and now want revenge with blights?
Maybe those 7 Elven Gods were influenced and corrupted by the 7 Dragons.. but tis very interesting

I might be wrong but i think the Templars were a new order founded by the Chantry and the Inquisition of old transitioned into The Seekers instead. At least according to Inquisitor Ameridan and Cassandra respectively. Also Emperor Kordilius and Inquisitor Ameridan were friends. Halamshiral only became isolationist after Ameridan's disappearance.

As extremely informative as this is, the amount of mispronounciations really bugs me. I was fine with it until Corypheus, literally the main villian of DAI and a side boss in the DA2 dlcs.

This video is a gem for old and new players alike to get lore in a visual as well as an informative way! Would love to see you making a "part 2" covering the plotpoints of the tree games in preperation for Dragon Age Dreadwolf! Altho it might be hard narratively..
