Jack Lemmon, what a genius. I mean, the scene is beautifully written and directed, all of the actors were at the top of their form, but Lemmon, off the charts. His eyebrows deserved a special Oscar.

No one will ever be or has been able to top that closing line in cinema history. Joe E. Brown's delivery of it, Jack Lemon's reaction to it the musical coda that buttons it. Sheer perfection in every sense.

Poor dumb Sugar. She ends up with Joe, who is an incredible louse. I think they're getting back together is supposed to be a "happy ending" for them both, but I
shudder to think what her life with him would be like.

I'm noticing a lot of people are coming back to this clip every now and then!! I would highly suggest watching the recent musical version of it on broadway! Even if you cannot do that, I highly suggest listening to the music!
