NSW Liberals promise to convert 15,000 casual teachers into permanent teaching roles
NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet promises his party would convert 15,000 casual teachers into permanent teaching roles, which is 5,000 more than what NSW Labor promises, if re-elected.
“We’ve increased teaching roles over the course of our time in government at double the rate of child enrolments,” Mr Perrottet said at the Sky News People’s Forum on Wednesday.
“We’ve got to get back to basics, we shouldn’t have all these additional courses where it puts pressure on you as a teacher.”
