Great review as always! I just ordered the Conti.
ОтветитьWhat about the goodyear? From the tests you read online it beats the competition.... Even on your website it comes on top of the "winner" picked in this video. Whats up with that?
ОтветитьI don't have enough money for the mitchelin pilot sport 5 this time. What do you guys think about replacing them with kumo pa51
ОтветитьGood testing! It would be interesting to have comparisons with mid-budget tyres, rather than a single really cheap (never heard of) brand. Something that would save £200+ in a set of 4 compared to these very high priced tyres at the top end.
ОтветитьThanks for the review. I am using the cross climate for a year on my Q3 quattro and Tesla AWD long range. The best AS I have ever had, impressed with the snow capability, speed, braking. No complaints from me so far and have done close to 20,000 miles on them.
ОтветитьI have a BMW i4 M50. which all season do you suggest for that ? continental or michelin ?
ОтветитьGoing by this test, i would have gone for the either the Dunlops or Continentals but unfortunately, they don’t do the tyre size for my car. In the end it was between the Pirellis and Michelin. Went with the Pirelli’s as they were around 25% cheaper to buy though the wear rate might bite me in the end.
ОтветитьThese test must be done in winter condition, i mean the temperature, in wet, snow and dry, but must be under 7 degrees.
ОтветитьI would be interested to see a test of these tyres after 7000 miles
ОтветитьThis review is fantastic, complete and really exhaustive. I bought, thanks to your precious reviews, a set of Bridgestone all season Turanza 6 ENLITEN. I ask you, if it possible, if you try specific tires - 4 seasons, winter and summer - for electric cars. Thank you so much!
Ответитьhello. what about All season Michelin CrossClimate 2 245/45R19 102Y XL i want to put on Tucson 2017, AWD, Thank you.
ОтветитьBridgestone are the worst tires I have ever bought. Never again. 60k tires lasted less than 40k. They get nosier
the more they wear.......yep never agin
Are they run flat, no mention on their website just wanted to know off the top of your heads
ОтветитьShame the speed rating is only V, Y would have been better
ОтветитьI checked Continental's website and they don't list the All Season Contact 2. Are they available in the US?
ОтветитьThe Continentals don't even exist.
The tire shop has like 30 different "Continental contact (insert catchy name here)", and nothing about" Continental all season.'
One comment about 1.6mm and km range for these tyres and perhaps food for future reviews or additional parameters - one of the reasons I drive an all season tyre is to spare me the time of changing my tires twice an year and be able to drive all year around. Driving in the winter with 1.6 would be reckless, besides I can't imagine being legal in many countries with laws for winter tires. So an actual parameter for the all season tyres would be - how long would they last until they reach some legal minimum depth. Where I live around the Alps, we have a legal minimum of 6mm for any winter-capable tyre during winter season. Therefore, for me it is also interesting how long would any of those tires last from new down to the legal requirement. Maybe you can try that in the upcoming videos - would certainly bring value for me and perhaps other folks too. Cheers & thanks for the nice reviews
ОтветитьAvoid Michelin CrossClimate at all price. They are super dangerous on snow and ice. Worst tire I ever had.
ОтветитьNobody wants a "loose rear end" that could get messy
ОтветитьThanks for the review!
I had the Michelin which I liked it, and now I can confirm regarding the Continental, which is excellent!
I'm trying to find differences between Dunlop Sport All Season and All Season 2. It looks like AS2 has a symmetrical pattern compared to Sport's assymetric design. But other than that, I can find zero information about it.
ОтветитьCzy warto załozyć takie opony?Mieszkam w Polsce.
Ответитьi bought the last 2 sets of tires from this guy's reviews (crossclimate and hankook kinergy 4s2), third will be this conti only because he recommends it.
ОтветитьI have just ordered the Continental. I was going for the Michelin so you have saved me some money 😃
ОтветитьAs a consumer I would like to see how the tires preform at half or less of tread.
ОтветитьJust added the Continentals to my Subaru Forester. immediately noticed the quiet drive, improved MPG and amazing wet grip. Yes they cost ££££ but i guess as in many things, you get what you pay for. Cant wait to see how they are in snow,
ОтветитьGreat review but confusing for someone from Canada as many of the tire models aren’t available here or have different names or specs.
Ответить1-roadholding
2-comfort
3-noise
205-55-16r which summer tires do you recommend for bmw f20 ?
After having spent 10+ hours driving on wet highway the past couple days I ordered the Pirelli now, mayb overall Conti was the better choice but I'll use these tires in the wet mostly throughout the winter so kinda prefer the better aquaplaning performance I guess... thanks for the review and the numbers provided, they helped in making the choice.
ОтветитьGoodyear???????
ОтветитьIf you are a US viewer unfortunately neither the Pirelli sf3 or the Continental all season contact 2 appear available here.
ОтветитьShame that there is no good year vector in this comp. But apart from that great work!
ОтветитьI'd been very impressed with General Altimax tires. At least as good as my CrossClimates, but for much less money. I'll be going back to them. CrossClimates are overpriced.
ОтветитьI wish the goodyear was included
ОтветитьGoodyear 4S is the best. ADAC Test Germany.
ОтветитьThank you again! I heard you say you will compare summer, winter and all seasons tires this year. I really am looking forward to that. I have an AWD EV with 20" tires and want to change tires between summer and winter. Michelin Pilot Alpin 5 SUV seem very good for that. But most of my driving is in moderate climate dry/wet on highways, about 25.000 km per year. It needs to drive in snow, but mostly so I stay on the road and can climb a snowy mountain road. So safety comfort, noise and rolling resistance are most important. I am wondering whether that combination makes the CrossClimate 2 SUV or the Continental AllSeasonContact 2 a better choice for me, but no one is able to provide facts rather than just an opinion. I am looking forward for that video!
ОтветитьHi, your channel is the best! It would be so nice to see in the 2025 video how the new Hankook iOn Flexclimate performs 😊
ОтветитьYo Mate
Why don't you do a video on the the most rubbish tyre?
Shame the Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons Gen-3 was not in the test.
ОтветитьPlease do a all weather comparison next!
ОтветитьA good test is to compare these top performers once they are worn down to maybe 25% tread. I know that's very hard to do. Especially in the snow it could be real important.
ОтветитьI’ve been rocking the Pirelli Cinturato WeatherActive (US version) in the Colorado Rocky Mountains and it’s been fantastic from winter to summer
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьWho got the best grip in dry acceleration ?
ОтветитьNow that Michelin has moved down in your results, it’s time for them to bring out a version 3….
Hopefully soon.
I have them on my AWD Nissan Murano and they handle so very well in all conditions for me so I’m very pleased with them. I don’t drive my Murano like you drive your Golf so I’m not expecting as much as you would be on that car.
Thanks for another yearly review on these all weather/ all season tires. Much appreciated
So how does this work with SUV/Light trucks ? I.e Tacoma,4Runner,Colorado,Canyon,Maverick, Ranger, Acadia, Highlander. I would think there would be a significant difference, no ?
ОтветитьAmazing test, definitely the best tire channel on yt 🎉
ОтветитьCrossClimate2!, They are all excellent. Their differences are quite small.
ОтветитьI live in a city where it snows 5 days a year and the winters are getting warmer, so I would buy all-season tires for the winter and use summer tires for the summer. I decided on the Continental, but I still don't know if I should take the winter ts870 or the allseason contact2
ОтветитьGoing to go with the pirelli for my scion frs as it's the most sporty all season tire out of all of these
Ответить
