Is it me, or does this video seem way more clinical and robotic than what they put out now?? Maybe it's just my imagination??

What an amazing video! I love how most of the B-Roll shots include madison, she seems super nice! I sure would hope that nothing happens behind the scenes and is swept under the rug and hardly ever talked about in public! That wouldnt be very techtips of them.

I vacillated between the 24" iMac M1 8/8 and the Mac Mini. Two things drove me to buy the iMac; finding a display I could afford that would rival the 4.5K Retina display and the lack of cable clutter inherent with the mini. As far as ports go I added the color matching Minisopuru USB hub (external NVMe SSD, 2 USB A, 2 USB 3.2 A/C & TF & SD card slots)

I work on this model at school, and I LOVE IT. Adobe (hell) runs smoothly (no crashing, rarely. But still choke it to work)

My parents always gets iMac's. Because its just ready to go. They don't have to buy a screen and other items.

My main gripe with it is the lack of features PC users have been enjoying for years. Are the screens high refresh rate? Are they HDR? Why aren't they larger? It sounds stupid but for me, that kinda money for a PC kinda warrants things like that-- or will Apple introduce them in a pro model and brag about their "Innovation"?

My wife loves the aesthetic and doesn't want cords. iMac it is. The iMac mini might be a better $$$ choice, but money isn't the only factor.

Tempted to get one of these for a basement family computer kind of setup.
But the trash can Mac pros have come down in price so fast lol that I've already got a monitor to spare, I'm probably gonna get one of those.

I bought the Mac MIni (edu pricing and upped to 16 GB), but I the price comparison isn't fair. The Imac comes with a high end display and stand, apple keyboard, and magic mouse. I don't think of myself as a mac faithful, but I'm hooked on those input devices. They are really nice. JMO display/stand is +500, keyboard and mouse is +180. And now go get as nice a camera and speakers. It's also aesthetically nice enough set up that it would go well in a living room or fancy kitchen area. So the price difference really isn't big.

As much as I hate Apple, I can't help but really like their minimalistic designs. So sad their hipster's shit is always very overpriced and impossible to repair in any way...

What bothers me aesthetically is the fact that the bold, non-pastel color is hidden on the back. I love the red and blue, but the front is pastel and I don't really like the pastel that much -- and since I never put my machines where you can see the back of the display, the color is lost for me. I'd love if the chin was the hard color and the bezel was the pastel

Also if you choose the cheapest there are only 3 colors available.. That's pure snobism

Well, it's a year later, and I'm still waiting on my 32-in iMac Pro in dark brushed aluminum with 5K touch screen and the 0° hinge, the Mac equivalent of the surface Studio. I keep looking out my window for the delivery truck.

It will really shock me when the day comes Apple produces something people actually want.

Linus. I love your reviews, but it might behoove you to suspend your desires, preferences and quirks and consider how this might benefit someone else. Here is the understatement of the decade: The M1 iMac is not for Linus Sebastian. There is a market for it. It's not me, but I get that. I build my own PCs, have my own preferences and don't even use Macs any more, but I get it. Telling people to just "buy a Mac Mini and slap it on the back of the monitor" is not only disingenuous, but -- come on, please, take a step back and look at that comparison. Not everything is for the pragmatic, self-made consumer; there are people who prefer style over substance, and who are we to judge.

Hopefully, someone will be able to help. Here's my story:

I recently bought a 24" iMac for $2,400. When I got it home and unpacked it, I found that there were no instructions, and not even a packing list. So much for my gripe--Damn you, Apple. Anyway, what do I do with the Apple iMac 24" M1 ACDC Power Adapter with LAN Port? I know one end plugs into the computer, but what do I with the other end? Do I now have to add to the $2,400 tab and buy even more stuff? #$%^&**!!! (Sat Nov 19 2022; 2:33 PM)

Apple should have made a wireless charging mouse and integrating the charging base into the stand. That would be really cool 😎
