I come back to watch this every now and again. The end always makes me shed a tear or two, in that soul-cleansing happy way. Fantastic work Mr. O' Connor.
ОтветитьBy god that’s well written and well shot, well done, there’s something romantic abs Irish father and son relationship even tho we don’t know how to show it in real life
ОтветитьBeautiful.
ОтветитьI LOVED THIS. And I'm a hard to please Titanic Historian.
Did you get the actual whistle? It sounds like it could be it?

ОтветитьAh. Ah.
ОтветитьLoved it!
ОтветитьNothing like losing the boat...
ОтветитьThis is all about father and son love. Just wonderful, the young man was ashamed for having lost the boat while the father was all in joy for not having lost his only son.
ОтветитьAmazing! My love to Ireland! Is breá liom Éire ❤
ОтветитьWhat a beautiful film, we boozers get it right some of the time!!
ОтветитьBeautiful. Bears the weight and emotion of the prodigal son story.
ОтветитьWow! I watched this short film while breakfast and It makes me smiled at how God blessing for this young man fate. Ah....Go home, son, your old man needs you more🌹
ОтветитьThe whiskey was truly "the breath of life"!
ОтветитьAuthentic, touching, vivid and superbly executed.

ОтветитьI'll drink to this!
Ответитьtook a minute to sink in,
ОтветитьAbsolutely brilliant! Apart from the reference to the ill-fated Titanic, it is a kind of re-interpretation of the return of the prodigal son motive. Love it ❤
ОтветитьO Danny Boy.
ОтветитьSo wonderful. I blundered across this film two or three days ago and have already watched it several times. I particularly like the performance of the actor who plays the father. He has a perpetual scowl on his face and a sharp tongue for his son. Before the boy goes away, the father reaches out to embrace him or at least place an affectionate hand on his shoulder, but can't bring himself to do it. Later he's devastated when he believes his son is dead. Then Tom miraculously returns, and the father can't believe it. He reaches out to touch the boy, as if to make sure he's not a ghost, and it makes that long, slow embrace that closes the film so poignant. Just marvelous!
ОтветитьI wonder how many pondered thier situation. Frankly it didn't matter who y ou were you were fucked! It's extremely sad to look at the actualities involving this
ОтветитьOh so good...
ОтветитьA fondness for the drink rarely saved a life but on this occasion...
ОтветитьGrand. I tell yah..immigrant 1962 to Crooklyn..cop .NYPD ..combat veteran..well done
ОтветитьWonderful!!
ОтветитьSuch a simple idea, the type one comes up with on a bar having a drink wirh friends. Great execution, little details, tough love becomes real.
ОтветитьPowerful ! So many layers to it. Powerful.
ОтветитьHave to admit I shed a tear or 2, beautiful short story.
ОтветитьSublime, from the beginning to the extremely emotional ending. Fantastic. Thank you
ОтветитьAs an Irish American, having spent 8 years living in Co. Clare where we own a cottage on Galway Bay, I will say this was just wonderful! I, too, had tears in my eyes, as I know too well the emotions involved! What a masterpiece! WELL DONE and thank you!
ОтветитьThat wink and admonition is everything about my ancestral homeland. Everything.
Ответитьgot drunk ...
... and missed ...
Brilliant Tadgh
ОтветитьI love it.
ОтветитьWow, this was something else. 8 min of pure joy.
Ответить3.5 thousand likes in 8 years for this little gem. A video of a cat falling of a table gets hundreds of thousands of likes. Is the world unjust or just tasteless and trivialised beyond belief. It’s hard to say, but what can you do?
