Thank you so much for such informative video. I have worked with plotulopi and holst supersoft. Austermann I tried their silk mohair and found it very soft. I would love to try Erika design highland wools after watching this. I have knitted with Jamieson and smith 2 ply jumper weight and love the stitch definition and the fact that it does not pill much.
ОтветитьYour knitting is amazing!!!! I enjoyed seeing your beautiful sweaters and hearing about the beautiful yarns💗🧶

ОтветитьFabulous round up of yarns .loved this podcast
ОтветитьDear Hanna, when will you release the pattern of the Fiber artist sweater? I would love to knit it in the yarn and the color you suggest here. Thanks for a very interesting video, its my first time visiting. I'm from Norway and share your oppinion on Line and tynn line as well. :)
ОтветитьYour sweaters are beautiful!
ОтветитьI really love drops yarn. I look for the ones that are 100% alpaca or merino, usually I get the puna one. they have decent colour range, but most of all it's incredibly cheap for being 100% alpaca wool
ОтветитьI loved this topic, you are so helpful, and your knitting is very beautiful.
ОтветитьReally enjoyed this podcast…living in the US, most of the yarn names I’m familiar with but have not used. I do have a sweater quantity of Loch Lomomd I’m really looking forward to trying now. You are an amazing knitter & designer.
ОтветитьHello! Any update on when the pattern for the tee you're wearing will be available? I absolutely love it. Thank you. :)
ОтветитьFirst time finding your channel. I am a fan! I will definitely give the Icelandic wool a try. Sending greetings from Vienna!!
ОтветитьThank you! You described everything beautifully and very helpful information for me as a new knitter. I am exploring garment knitting now and have trouble finding affordable quality yarns. So glad to have found you! Beautiful work and your color choices and design are so beautiful as well. ❤
ОтветитьI know it's been a while, but I've just stumbled upon your channel today. I did want to perhaps spur some thought about organic yarns. If you desire organic products for personal reasons, this wouldn't apply. But if you use organic yarns for environmental reasons, it may be better not to. Organic farming has a much lower yield per acre compared to conventional farming, thus requiring greater destruction of natural habitats in order to produce a similar amount of product. Just a thought.
Ответитьis holst sturdier after you wash it? I have some but it feels kinda brittle and breaks easily, I am not sure if this is because i havent washed the spinning oil though. I want to use it for a project but I am concerned with the durability as this is something special that I would like to last.
ОтветитьI hope the textured wall is not the "popcorn" type that may contain asbestos - plz be careful.
ОтветитьYou knit impeccably wow!!
ОтветитьI loved seeing all of the European yarns. I love rustic and tweedy yarns like you had here. My favorite yarn back when I knit a lot is no longer made, but I would go for Harrisville Tweed or Green Mountain Spinnery yarn here in the US. I love woolenspun wool of all types.
I'd love to try some unspun yarn.
It was lovely to see your video, I can never figure out how much yarn you need for a sweater, talking about the quality of different yarns was nice! Loved the designs of your sweaters as well 😍
ОтветитьYour English is wonderful!!
ОтветитьOh God your not released pattern with BC yarn Is lovely ❤ when Will you release the pattern? I Need it😅❤😂
ОтветитьWhat is the name of this shawl? I love your presentation thank you
Ответитьgreat video! thanks
ОтветитьHanna, I so appreciate this information! Thank you so much!
ОтветитьI love the brioche cardigan knit with Plotulopi! I hope you are able to write up the pattern. It's gorgeous!!
ОтветитьI love the video and the yarns. I am very interested in the brioche cardigan pattern that you made with Plutolopi. It is wonderful. I love plutolopi yarn. When do you plan on releasing the pattern?
ОтветитьA great podcast. The first I have seen of yours and I have subscribed because I also love your designs. ❤
ОтветитьThank you! I really appreciate informative podcasts.
ОтветитьI wanted the Loch Lomond but I'm not sure I would say it's budget friendly. Not where I live in USA unfortunately. Depending on where you buy it and the color you want I've seen shops selling them for 14$ usd. So for a sweater we are looking at hand dyed prices.
ОтветитьSo interesting, thank you
ОтветитьThank you for your thoughts on these yarns! I have recently moved to Europe to live so it's great to know what I should try, the yarn options here can be overwhelming. I love the top you are wearing too. Looking forward to the pattern!
ОтветитьThanks for your great yarn tips. I went and purchased some sandnes garn Line.
ОтветитьHolst supersoft is one of my go-to yarns, but I recently discovered a love for cascade 220!
ОтветитьVery informative. Thank you. I’m looking forward to trying out some of your recommendations.
ОтветитьThank you for the suggestions! I'm only just starting to learn knitting but my local stores carry acrylic mostly, I will definitely research your recommendations ❤
Ответитьwhat a lovely overview. I've only tried the holst supersoft (together with a mohair) of these yarns and loved it so much. I would love to try the line and the austerman merino cotton later this year or next year, thanks for your overview
ОтветитьHan a p.ease re.ease the pattern for your plotulopi sweater. I have 5 plates of grey and would be interested in that pattern
ОтветитьI'm knitting with Plötulopi while watching this, with an order of Holst Supersoft on the way 😄
But I have to say, Plötulopi is very scratchy (haven't washed it yet, I hope it will get softer). But I recently tried Manchelopis after it was mentioned in another podcast, it is organic wool from Spanish Manchego sheep. It is MUCH softer than Plötulopi and around 8 EUR / 100g in a German online shop ;) but the colour variety is not very big yet.
My Mondim socks wear out too fast but while they last they’re my favorite feeling socks. I have about 8 different skeins I’m probably going to make hats or something else with them. I do love the yarn though.
ОтветитьCurrently I love my John Arbon Exmoor socks! But I want to knit with many more yarns before I make a lifetime decision. By the way, John Arbon yarns are also available from the german handdyer Bohei yarn.
ОтветитьThis was a very interesting podcast!. I live in the US and I have found two good sources for Sandnes Garn and British wools. I think it’s helpful to think about the costs and quality of the yarns as well as how they perform when knitting and wearing. Thanks for sharing information podcasts!!
ОтветитьIf I had to choose only one yarn for the rest of my life (praying that that'll never happen 😅) it would be Holst Garn Coast. I find it so so wonderful and would be able to knit both summer and winter garments, and I like the colour range
ОтветитьAnother great episode, Hanna! I love the summer tee you are wearing and I am looking forward to it's release🥰 If I could only knit with one yarn for the rest of my life I think it must be Rauma Finull. It's wonderful norweigan wool. The color range is huge. It's perfect for colorwork because it's so forgiving. One of my favourite yarns🙂 Hope you have beautiful spring days☀️
ОтветитьWhat a great video! I totally agree on the Loch Lomond and the Line, such great yarns. I personally don't enjoy Holst Supersoft, but I think I might have knitted it too tightly. I would loooove to see the video about German handdyers ☺️ Liebe Grüße aus Würzburg!
ОтветитьI’m using the Holst Supersoft for my Poise Sweater right now and I’m loving it! I’m super excited to see how it feels after a few washes 😊
