I saw JNP few years ago after his split with Upswing... After application some of his ideas, about the betting ranges and some percent ratio, when to bet a non-premium hands, my game became much worse. GTO for Hold'em is great due to frequency of bluffing and exploiting. PLO is different and I got the feeling that PLO GTO is still originating. JN is a great for sure, but his tutorials in my case end up with loses.

When you ran monkersolver 3 way, what did you put in monkersolver for ranges? Do you have saved somewhere ranges for the different positions? Or do you just say 40% and if so how do you know the percentages of the different positions? This was a good video by the way. I'd like to see one that really deep dives into monkersolver to answer questions like this because I'm new to solvers and struggling trying to figure them out. What ranges to put in is the main question I have now and how to do that in the software.

I'm surprised that you folded QQ23 in the SB to an early raise. One of the Queens was suited and it would seem that the 23 would be good blockers for anyone who decided to play some kind of Ace-low wheel cards. I realize that you're OOP but why not reraise? If you're 4-bet at that point, you could likely assume AA, KK or a combination of broadway cards and fold, right? Additionally, you're deep, so doesn't that expand your range a bit?

Would love you feedback on a PLO hand... I'm playing a $2/$2 5 Card PLO game in Maryland Live! casino and I have Kc2cKd3d5s on the button with a $5 straddle. SB, BB, UTG and UTG2 call. HJ raises to $25. CO calls then I call. First Question: Would you 3Bet? Everyone else folds. Flop is 4cKh7c (I have top set on flop with $95 in pot with a gutter). HJ checks, CO checks, I bet $30 (I'm $3000 effective and have both guys covered) 2nd Question: Should I have potted it? My thoughts was don't run them away with such a dry board and I basically am nutted. HJ calls, CO folds The turn is 6s and the HJ leads out for $100. 3rd Question: What do you put him on? I have top set, hit gutterball straight with redraw to flush. I raise to $300 knowing he can only call me if he too hit the gutter and has a higher straight. HJ then re-raises me $1070 (weird amount but ok). What do you do? (I'll wait for your response before concluding this drama)

Hey J, love the videos, great advice! Couple questions for you:

1) what’s the relevance of pot odds preflop and post flop?

2) what’s the significance of “pot commitment” on turn/ river when you may no longer have the nuts. Are tougher folds expected more frequently?

3) any advice for playing heads up or three handed? Range strategies?

Thanks for everything, keep up the great work! Cheers

How to improve at PLO cash games? Run at EV, or a bit above it. If you don't, you will go broke. Sample size, 1 million hands still not big enough. The EV line and the Actual line are going further apart. It's time to quit this garbage game and find a job that is actually worth your time.

You're welcome. I just saved your life.

That makes signing up to the mastermind way more interesting for me than the shallow entertaining ones where just the biggest hands that (mostly) play themselves are put together

solvers made poker a silly game, I am sure many of the pros just have another laptop running with solver software on it while playing (even if it is strictly forbidden), some smart people also just might memorize most of the combinations by heart, it becomes just a game for robots and cheaters.....I don't see a lot of future for Poker.
