Question for Eufy: in a North-facing location where there's no opportunity for the solar panel to get direct sun exposure, will a camera (with the supplemental panel) be able to operate on only indirect light? (located in Vancouver, Canada)

Glad to hear that the damage wasn't terribly bad and congrats on the new Sponsor. While I do love the quality and visual clarity of Eufy cams, I had to move away from them because of their difficulty in integrating with Home Assistant. Their older, possibly problematic firmware (~2 years old) seemed to work fine, but after addressing some issues another user brought up, that ease is no longer there. I have to say, the video clips you shared were pretty phenomenal and that S3(?) hub seems very nice, but I'm not using cameras for security just yet and what mattered most to me was ease of viewing streams without needing to find my phone. They are starting to make some nice home security HW so maybe this colab can continue in the future and I'll be looking forward to seeing what you do with that rug. I hope everything with the building goes well and that was, seriously, no way to be enjoying your Thanksgiving. That door held up pretty well all things considered. Id definately be putting up some railing to act as a buffer zone going forwards though lol.

There's people in here talking smack about the "ad", but honestly I have three Eufy cameras on the front of my house and absolutely love them. They helped me out immensely in a court case against a neighbor
They have great video, great storage and the solar panels work great! I just bought them because you don't have to pay a subscription but they're well worth it! (God, I sound like an ad too😂)

I haven't had good experiences with Eufy cams, FYI. My Floodcam died after around 18 months, and the other cams lost a lot of their battery capacity. They're not even exposed to heat or rain
