Making a Double Exposure Effect in Photoshop

After using pen tool how did you got the select and mask option . Because i used the pen tool but select and mask option didn't came. Please help me

Absolutely love this video!! Just one question; I have an image with lighter and darker parts...the second image is super fade on the lighter parts...you barely see that there is another image. So I'd prefer the double exposure on the lighter parts...anything I could do?
