What other city of the world would you like to see explained on my channel?
Ответитьloved your video. great info
ОтветитьAwesome, thanks!
ОтветитьAnother amazing video Manuel ❤ Has put Venice top of my list of places to visit. I think Malta, Istanbul and Jerusalem should be on yours as id love to see your videos on them!
ОтветитьI understand that the four horses outside St. Mark’s Cathedral are just reproductions of the real ones, which are inside.
ОтветитьFabulous video and information. Thank you for producing this insightful and wonderful video.
ОтветитьExcellent video and I learned so much. Headed to Venice soon and so glad I saw your video first ❤
ОтветитьWhat I missed in this wonderful city was more palaces open to visitation.
ОтветитьAmazing video with great quality, that goes in detail, history, theory, plans, texture and historical meanings. Keep up the good work.
ОтветитьThere may be dead bodies
Innocent people killed by the king
Superb!
ОтветитьDude this video is fantastic.
ОтветитьVenice is a true pearl among all the cities of the world ! City unique in the world for its characteristic, Its canals, its architecture, the stunning facades of its palaces, the squares.
ОтветитьI am from Australia and have been coming to Venice every year for about 40 years. I never tire of it's unique beauty, it's unique people,, food, expressions, colours, moods, palazzi, gardens, sistiere, sunsets, churches, all and everything is magical, theatrical and I still stand in awe and smile..
ОтветитьWhat if you need to go to the hospital in an emergency ... how would that work ?
ОтветитьFor centuries sewage was directed to the canals which were supposedly flushed by the tides. Drinking water came from rain water cisterns that probably killed thousands who drank water polluted by sewage and general filth. Venice is a wonderful city based on a bad idea: to build a city on a saltwater marsh.
ОтветитьYou’ve made this video so very interesting. Like a good book I just can’t put it down. Thank you for all your research and the way you have so coherently assembled the information. I subscribed immediately.😊
ОтветитьExcellent commentary! It's a gorgeous city.
ОтветитьThe real magic of Venice is not its architecture (which is spectacular, make no mistake—but so us that of Rome, Paris and other great cities). The real star is its urban design. A high density city that still provides countless quiet corners, stolen moments of peace and privacy, and above all, functioning without cars, thus being quiet and safe, even carefree. It is largely a pedestrian city. The waterways as a means of transport are really limited to commercial traffic—everyday life is lived on foot. It’s a model that stands to be replicated.
Ответитьi just spent 3 weeks in europe and visited 9 countries and many big cities. I was THROUGHLY impressed by Venice...incredibly unique and fascinating.
ОтветитьI spent time in Rome, Venice and Florence. Florence is so far the only European city I've been to that wasn't awful. I wouldn't go back to any European country I've been to if it was free.
ОтветитьVery interesting for sure, but would appreciate a slowing down of narration. It is blindingly fast and often too much to absorb.
ОтветитьBeautiful 🤩
ОтветитьHaha, Doge means Duke. Shibas are royalty.
ОтветитьFlorence
ОтветитьFantastic, thank you ….I love Venice so much…
ОтветитьLove this video😍❤️👏👏
ОтветитьVenice is the unrivalled jewell of western civilization.
Ответить
🪽🌿🪽 Excellent Narration and superb video production. Thanks for this.
Ответитьvery well described with loads of history! thank you !
ОтветитьAn exceptional video. V enice just as I remember it on the trip of a lifetime. New sub here, and looking forward to seeing more of your playlist.
ОтветитьWhat a detailed video and so informative. Manuel, I think you have done such an awesome job at it. Keep it up. One of the best videos I have seen on Venice.
ОтветитьArtwork inside Doge’s palace is spectacular. Home of the world’s largest oil painting.
ОтветитьAmazing video Manuel. One point Hagia Sophia didn't demolished. It turned Church to Mosque after conquering of Constantinople. In addition, I have been Marco Polo House nowadays serving as theatre house . As a tourist, it's a great pleasure to see and feel this beautiful city views with all aspects. St Marco basilica is one of best places I visited in Italy :) Thanks and looking forward to see more videos from you
ОтветитьI thought Venice, a former fishing village, was a refuge for fleeing Romans from nearby Roman cities who were trying to escape the invading Huns and Germanic tribes.
ОтветитьBravo! Mr. Bravo
ОтветитьWhen I spent a week in Venice in 2016, I used my 7-day vaparetto card for travelling on the canals, but I also enjoyed wandering by foot along the narrow pathways, and just discovering what there was to see off the beaten trail, and trying to guess where that path would lead me to a location that was familiar. It was impossible not to fall in love with the non-tourist Venice!
ОтветитьThank you for such an interesting video. I would love to go to Venice. The shape looks like a hand or thumb in the mouth of a fish. I would love to see a video of London
ОтветитьI am new to your work. We will spend the days in Venice in October 2024. Your video had a unique perspective compared to others i have seen. Thank you
ОтветитьSuperb - thank you!
ОтветитьEnjoy watching your videos! What camera do you use to record these adventures?
ОтветитьAmazing video- great research and explanation. New subscriber here 🙂
ОтветитьNo wonder it’s swamped by tourists - everybody wants to experience its beauty
ОтветитьI spent a day there and did get off the main thoroughfare (you are right about needing to do so) a bit but other than that only saw some highlights since my time in Italy was a limited working trip. If I go back I would love to spend 4 or 5 days there. Getting away from tourist habits and traps is a must, no matter where you go. You Tube and Google Earth let's me travel almost any where now, the only thing missing are the people and food. (I loved watching Anthony Bourdain shows)
ОтветитьThank you for your work! We are getting ready for a trip to Italy this autumn and your video is a real gem in the sea of useless "best things to do in Italy" type of videos. Will definitely check out the other ones on your playlist.
ОтветитьExcellently done! Content, voice, music, visuals. Compliments, and thank you.
