She had tried to escape before if I remember correctly but her mom always found her and either forced or tricked her into coming back “home” with her and then continuing. She didn’t choose the killing, tried to escape the hard way, got caught and she felt helpless. Everyone is like oh, why didn’t you try this or that, when she may have gone through even worse things because of her escape trials. This lady could’ve killed her the whole time, especially when it became to that most extreme breaking point. She felt that she had no other choice

I lost faith in doctors they knew there was nothing wrong with her they just kept making that money making that money making that money come on give her a feeding tube when she didn't need it that's ridiculous that's not the doctor should have told her mom know and called children services and reported her not that children services is much better because they're a joke too

Gypsy planning her moms murder is the only murder that I will EVER support

The mother was an abuser, a fraud and a liar and has been exposed as such. The daughter had no choice but to try and escape her. This girl is a total victim and should have done no time! Its sad that the father didnt make any effort to help his daughter or even see any medical records.

I'm shocked they made this girl serve time. Smh

How complicated and traumatic the bond between mother and daughter can be is a widely underrated thing. I don't wish my mother dead, but I all but ran away from her when I was 25. To this day, she neither has my number nor address. She destroyed my life once and tried to do so a second time. I had a mental breakdown at 23 and at 21 I was almost raped; no reaction from her side. She only could shine when she could make everything about herself. For a long time, being dependent on her, I thought that she must know best. In hindsight, I realized that she's disturbed and that she didn't educate but abuse me. Once I got away, most of my alleged problems turned out to be things she didn't understand, my physical "illnesses" harmless and ordinary, my "faults" things that she didn't want me to do because they weren't revolving around her, and most of my troubles caused by unresolved trauma. It's been 26 years and I'm still not fully recovered.
I went to more than 20 psychologists, therapists etc. Most of them didn't understand a word I said, just stared at me blankly. A few said, "Your mother is just afraid of losing you." I had to heal on my own. It seems that for 99 % of the population of this planet, every mother is a saint and the idea that she might be sick in her mind and not have the best intentions for her child is unacceptable, even perverted.

I feel like a lot of parents are like this they just hide it better. Like planting seeds of doubt, making them feel crazy or worthless, trying to slow chip away at their confidence. Now with gender affirming care i think some parents have a legal way to encourage their child to get on puberty blockers so they get extra attention for having a trans kid and being the wonderful supportive parent too.

I don't feel sorry for this girl.

Honestly, from the beginning it was clear that only one of both would survive this whole situation and I am glad that it was Gipsy.

I kind of feel bad for the guy because he was trying to help it is crazy that he would do it but it’s sad because if he never would have met gypsy maybe he would have never done anything like this and he wouldn’t have spent his life in jail or a murdered

I can’t stand the interviewer!!!! She’s blaming Gyspy for not “standing up and exposing the fraud” “ wtf this child was sheltered and tortured for her entire lifetime. Of course she didn’t have the cognition to just get up out of the wheelchair in front of hundreds of people and expose the fraud she had been conditioned from birth to believe she was sick. This interviewer is just tone deaf.

The mother used her child to live off her, and to garner sympathy and fame. She easily coulda killer her with drugs and uneeded rx. Once Gypsy got older and began thinking for herself, the mom started more abuse. This mom never loved her, she USED HER for money.
