How the hell did Chase miss 15 spleens? They had MRI and blood.
ОтветитьMost Reddit episode ever.
Ответитьwhat an idiotic episode this one was. when average intelligence people write about exceptional intelligence people you get nonsense like this.
ОтветитьBRO JUST SMOKE WEED
Ответить"im 91 iq higher than her" ayy lmao please make it more realistic. IQ alone doesn't make you an gifted alien.
ОтветитьThe curse of the high IQ. Its a good book. Many of us are like this to verying degrees in different ways. The sword cuts both ways.
Ответитьhe cant be that smart hes got two hair colours
ОтветитьI'm just like him, the only difference is that I'm dumb
ОтветитьIt's not common or easy to deal with loneliness, unfortunately, those really smart people often suffer from it.
Nature gives gifts but take tolls, you'll never find someone who has it all, sociability is something most highly intelligent people lack, it's often because they aren't able to feel a connection, being too smart often makes you look down on others and you can only have true friendships when you see your friend as a "equal".
That's where smart people become dumb, they lack the capacity to see other qualities besides intelligence and aren't aware enough to see they are extremely lacking in most aspects besides intellect.

ОтветитьI've found that I have to do most of people's thinking for them.
The one's who listen want to do better but were never taught how by the people who raised/surround them.
(And I can't teach them everything.)
There's also a lot of people who are too entitled to think they should have to do anything.
It's like being back in junior high group projects.
Divine intelligence, meaning that it comes from god, PLEASE do NOT waste your gifts/talents people! They were given to you for you to enjoy, stay positive! :D
ОтветитьI like this episode but all the fucking tv shows have the same problem when writing "genius" characters, they are geniusly stupid, always being like "he's so genius because he says the big words" but at the same time they are so stupid that can't explain the basics of a concept to a normal person o keep a normal conversation because they are so genius that they forget how to talk like a normal person.
that's not how it works, you adjust your way of talking according to the person that you are communicating with, they need to stop writing genius characters like they all come from the big bang theory
Personally, I dont think it's intelligence that curses us. It's knowing.
ОтветитьLove House❤ great informative show...Was just talking about it yesterday...
ОтветитьJE TE TIENS !
ОтветитьShshsh tank yes
ОтветитьOnly “genius” I’ve ever known got his PhD in astrophysics at about 22 years old; then, immediately moved to Colorado and got a job making screen doors, which I believe he did for the next forty years. This episode helped clear up that strange behavior to me.
Ответить"You're not the only one cursed with knowledge" - this guy, probably
ОтветитьThere’s truth to what he said about narcotics. Lots of people who deal with feeling purposelessness, loneliness, or overwhelming intelligence turn to narcotics to calm down. Not just painkillers, but alcohol, marijuana, anything that can tune you out to what you usually feel inside so you can function better. But it’s a trap. They’re like emotional steroids: sure, you can feel more confident, and relaxed, and your mind isn’t racing all the time, but as soon as you stop you realize you missed out on so many opportunities to grow because your brain wasn’t working at the capacity it’s supposed to.
ОтветитьThis also must be how Oppenheimer and Einstein felt. Seeing the world in a different way but very few people truly understand.
Ответить"I thought i did that"
Women will always take an opportunity to make it about them
Smart people recognize people. Maybe because of House's upbringing, why he wanted to help people
ОтветитьThis is an interesting phenomenon. I once saw an interview with Elon Musk where he complained about the burden of super intelligence and the inability to stop his mind from constantly racing. It is truly a gift and a curse to perceive what others can not. To understand but never be understood. That is a loneliness no one should have to bear.
ОтветитьThis is very true. I was classified as a genus as a child and having mild spectrum autism made me hyper aware of everything around me to the point I get headaches. Intelligence is a curse. Ignorance is bliss. Being annoyed at stupid people all the time is miserable.
Ответитьbad writing: while smart he jumped 8 stories to commit suici forgot to account for landing.
ОтветитьHes the dumbest rick and morty fan
ОтветитьI'm pretty smart so I've always found this a rather odd mindset. I've always found as my knowledge and understanding grew it increased my compassion and will to do good.
ОтветитьHis problem is not intelligence; his problem is that he is depressed with a feeling of extreme loneliness, and his intelligence just allows him to find more creative ways than most people to be miserable.
ОтветитьAnd in his infinite wisdom, God created weed.
ОтветитьIt's true, smart people are miserable. It does get better with age though
Ответитьthat's fucked, that dude gets to have a british accent but Hugh does not? lol
Ответитьyou’d think someone that smart would invest a little effort in learning how to explain things in a way that interests less-smart people. like with his “doodles”. explain why it’s interesting or useful or what it’s impact is in a way she can understand—that’ll help you connect a lot more than just spewing big words at her. being smart doesn’t mean you’re completely disconnected from others.
ОтветитьAnyone else experience being this patient?
18 months of dumb bliss for me.
You can have enjoyable interactions with dogs or two year old's... and they are far less intelligent. So not sure I buy this. However I could see how life professionally or overall could get like this, but with the internet you can always find other geniuses.
ОтветитьHonestly, this is a bit too much. Great intelligence can make you unhappy but that doesn't mean your partner being "dumber" than you will. Specially because if they are a good partner they will try to take an interest on what you like and you can try to explain things a little to them.
ОтветитьThe more intelligent you are, the more rational you tend to be. The more rationally you view the world, the more depressed the truth of the world makes you. Dumb people are happier because they don't have to lie to themselves to be happy.
Ответитьngl, I fuckin hate that character.
If you're capable of that kinda rationality, it behooves you to bear more weight. Drugging it away is shirking your responsibility and weighing the rest of the world down.
It's almost as bad as those who won't develop rationality to lighten their own burden.
"Yes, Nero, I am disabled. My IQ is too high."
Ответитьthis episode is dumb
ОтветитьSad to see some people want to numb their Intelligence because they're unhappy. It's not your Intelligence that is a curse, it's the stupid people around you that are.
ОтветитьMy IQ is the reason for my depression, 'cause the machine never stopps analysing.
ОтветитьIntelligence is a horrific burden.
No one understands you; they're not only incapable, they have no interest in trying.
You're a figure of horror to them. They will allow you no true place among them except as a servant. They will force you to bury your light under a basket.
You will die alone. Even the ones who act & make you think they're capable of better will revert to type.
Hoping, dreaming, wishing, praying, trusting, loving?
You spend so long with them ending in nothing but heartache you eventually give them up.
You learn to be polite but deflect, make the conversation about the other person. Because the truth is they don't care about you. They're just waiting for their turn to talk again. Or worse: looking for an opening to attack you, a vulnerability or some scrap of information they can use against you.
They'll never be on your level; they're incapable.
So they'll move heaven & earth and use any means necessary to drag or beat you down.
And it will work.
In the end, the only thing you'll hate more than yourself
Is the rest of existence.
And if you're ever honest about how you feel about what they've done to you?
You'll find yourself on the business end of a 5150 call.
Thrown into a cage, thrown away like garbage & in the end nothing but an addict
You're life's worthless at that point.
Simplifies your prayer life, though.
One prayer, three words: please kill me.
I met a guy like this once, but he was a weirdo
ОтветитьSeason 6 episode 8: Ignorance is Bliss
The epsiode in the description is wrong.
"I thought, I did that"
Spoken like a trully selfish insensetive human being with your now hospital ridden lover, like that didn't make the seriousness of his mental position obvious enough.
Could they have made her sound any more callous in less words, I don't think they could've
Time Bandits - Evil: Oh, Benson... Dear Benson, you are so mercifully free of the ravages of intelligence.
