As someone in the LGBTQ community, honestly, I think nothing creates sustainable and real social inclusiveness better than coming out to those you know and being a sensible and respectful person. Bigoted people are fearful and don't understand you, your motives, or have any assurance yet that the respect will run both ways. Mass media, advertisements and entertainment are impersonal, obviously staged, and have no desire to create a dialog--but simply to demand certain behaviors from you. Lecturing other people on how to act, even if it's in a cute commercial does not magically create inclusivity.

I'm SO glad lgbt acceptance is starting to grow in China. It really is one of the most powerful countries so it would mean a great deal if it became a lgbt friendly country.
