Catching A Date is a fast-paced fishing game and dating-sim as well, where you play as Seth, who accidentally threw car batteries in the ocean, and so you are forced to date fishes..... by fishing phone numbers, or end up becoming shark food. This run has all CG Endings, where the Blue Lure is just torture to get. Also for those who recognized the artstyle, this was made by one of the devs in Code Laser as well, which is karelessocelot, as you can see on the game link, and is also part of the game jam, FishFest.
Overall, this game is absolutely fun... with some issues. I think the Blue Lure ones need some tweaking, also you can get softlocked, but rare, if the run you have like say getting into a date by the shark game over. I used a bug in this run to make the Blue Lure parts bearable, but even with, that it took time. I still understand that this were meant to be the hardest to obtain, but damn I think it's still kind of extremely tight. The only other issue I have, is the choices, you accidentally click the other choices, or like phone number, even tho it wasn't there. It can be kind of annoying, but again it's a game jam, and I can still kind of forgive for most of these. Overall, I enjoyed the whole game, and I love the CGs you can get, and as well the mismatched style.
As for what I mean on getting the Shark End, there's a chance you will get a shark giving you a chance, and you have 4 choices, choose the 4th one "Just Eat Me" to instantly win. As for how to get the CG, I think it ties with the Date Meter you have with the fishes. Also, for some unknown reason, audio got crusty, and FPS on the recording just really sticks to 30FPS, tho I think the game runs at 60FPS, I dunno what happened to this I'm sorry. It might be my recording software I used for this one, Bandicam, and I think I should have recorded this on OBS.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy!
