Have you seen Oryx Desert Salt on shelf in Whole Foods? It is from an underground salt lake in the Kalahari Desert in Southern Africa, from a remote, pristine uninhabitable area. It is a renewable sustainable source, and is free from any pollution or contamination. Still contains vital trace elements and minerals and is not processed or refined. Naturally organic and delicious. Oryx Desert Salt grinders have a ceramic mechanism so is 20x and more refillable and doesn't grind plastic into your food.

As you are recommending your listeners stop using salt with added iodine, which is an essential ingredient, do you realize you may be contributing to birth defects in fetuses? Iodine has been added to salt because populations in the central parts of the continent do not have iodine in their soil, hence their diet. How do you feel comfortable assuring your listeners they get plenty of iodine in their diet when you don't know that they do. I feel very uncomfortable about how glib you are about this health issue.

My daughter suffers from Cirrhosis of the liver. She is being restricted from using salt or sugars in her diet. The food is terrible without salt and so we are using a “NoSalt” alternative product to make it tolerable. We almost have to make everything from scratch because so much food has the bad salt you mentioned. Can you suggest a product for her special diet? Thanks

OK all salt comes from "ancient sea beds" or... current sea beds / seawater. Kosher salt is as processed as the one you say is to be avoided. Real Salt is nothing more than salt which has grit in it, yes dirt / rock parts - its crappy low quality salt. How about making a video on something you either researched or know something about.

Great video Bobby! One thing to remind your viewers -- For anyone with HIGH Blood Pressure -- Pink Himalayan Salt is the only way to go! 100% All the Way! It will keep your BP under control. I now make my own pickles and soups for my mom who is 80 and we have to cook this way so she can enjoy her last years of life with as much health as possible. Yes, we keep it under control and she can still have her salt! Costco has a HUGE tub for under $7.00.

Redmond is the best period. Do not eat sea salt it could be much worse than iodized with microplastics. Kosher is 2nd best. Get you iodine from foods and not iodized salt.

Does that kosher real salt pinch? Diamond and Morton are as, if not, more processed than table salt. That’s why it never clumps and is a perfect, even size. Jacobsen gets close for me to switch to, but boxes can vary—some being too coarse. The store I bought it from stopped selling it and Amazon is playing a practical joke with their price.
