I just had my extraction because my doctor wanted to prevent any issues and im healing now,

I remember my wisdom teeth not giving me any problems until the next check-up I had where they were growing cavities and I had to have them removed before it got worse. One day they were removed, they inserted the needle, and I was trying not to think of the pain and closed my eyes before they inserted the anesthesia. Next thing I knew, the pain in my arm moved to where my wisdom teeth use to be. It slowly went away after I got out of the dentist, but I still remember that moment. At least I got some ice-cream afterwards.

My brother got all four of his teeth removed while he was in boot camp last year. As soon as he got there, he had to have some medical/physical evaluations done, including a dental examination, and the doctors there saw that he still had all four of his wisdom teeth still in his jaws. So they took him to another part of the base to get them extracted, and they didn’t even knock him out for the procedure. They just had him sit in a chair, put a blindfold over his eyes, and pumped him so full of novacaine that he couldn’t feel anything in his mouth.
And the worst part? While the surgeons were working on his mouth, Careless Whisper was playing in the background. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

I’m getting all four of mine removed in three weeks, so I’m pretty nervous! Everyone’s telling me that I’ll be fine, though, and my parents are gonna be there for support…. But the thought of surgery just makes me feel uneasy inside. And I’m not looking forward to the pain I’ll feel afterwards!

Got mine today, the process from my perspective was interesting. They set some tubes to blow air into my nose, checked my blood pressure, and put in the iv. Said they were giving me stuff now and that I'd feel a bit weird, and yeah I got a tiny bit dizzy. The doctors were saying some things to each other, and I knocked out without even realizing. Next thing I knew it was black and I heard more talking, and when I opened my eyes I had a piece of cotton stuck down to where the iv was, gauze in my mouth, and that was it. I wasn't very high after either, just tired and a little shocked at how instant it all seemed. It's been almost 12 hours now and while it doesn't really hurt enough to bother me I'm sad I can't eat solid food and am a bit scared I'll accidentally mess with the blood clots

Just to let you all know, in case you don't know, dentists aren't the ones who take your wisdom teeth out. The ones who take your wisdom teeth out are called oral surgeons.
