In this day and age we can confirm that people were paying attention and studied how the Civil Rights movement was won, only to see the White Right slowly work towards taking over the Supreme Court of the United States to knock off the Civil Rights movement and women's rights and the Constitution and still trying to do away with the labor unions and other "little people" by similar disciplines. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and the wisdom of Marcus Aurelius. One of the reasons stoicism spoke to me is because of my temper and frustrations with others. I get upset when people don't live up to the standards I think they should. It has been something I have struggled with for a long time. It always leads to tension and strife, both internal and external. The part after "Tolerant with others. Strict with yourself" is something I needed to hear. So once again, I thank you.

Lou Gehrigs disease was found in later years to be caused by stress and not slowing down in life. His punishment for pushing thru was ALS. I love stoicism but pushing one’s self beyond the limit is counterproductive

I would enjoy reading the first chapter of Ryan Holiday Meditations. I am 50 and because Ryan put out these videos I bought and read Meditations and I can only wish I had a first chapter that could contain mentors. Just wondering how one so young finds this wisdom for my life is different now. Thanks.
