I just remembered that in 2014 my dad found a deal on tons of 7870S(+ a free game I think), for a while, he brought one, sold it on eBay, then sold the game. Can't remember but I think the GPU was ~100(+ game)
ОтветитьWhen buying used hardware, is there an age/platform cutoff point that you use where you know there is no/less profit?
As an example would you buy 9th gen or older Intel CPUs and MB? What about GPUs? Would you buy something older than a 1660?
how do i prevent ghost/privacy buyers? I lately got called out for an unpackaged monitor and I'm afraid that item might get damaged from handheld commute and they said post reception "digital payment" despite them being near? It's so hard to sell now cuz they're faceboomers in the marketplace. any way for me get another go at flipping without compromising my safety/image. I could send the item(monitor) to a physical test area to prove my next buyers that the items do work.
ОтветитьI appreciate you
ОтветитьI just ordered a H9 Elite to start my first build! You encouraged me to give it a shot, I play on a laptop rn but i always wanted to try to build a PC on my own. As always good job Bro thanks for everything
ОтветитьBop
ОтветитьToasty Bros must have watched your video. I just watched them flip a PC.
ОтветитьI can’t even sell my current pc💀 I kinda need help selling it
ОтветитьGreat video man ❤
One thing I would have to say does not work is the eBay screenshot, at least here in BC Canada anyways 😢
Great advice
ОтветитьI work full time retail and work as a care provider for my grandmother, I'd say maybe I could do 1pc a week if I'm lucky.
For my situation it's more like flipping 1 PC a month.
Maybe I could do more than 1/mo but in addition to care providing for my grandmother I do have three son's I have to spend time with too.
Now ok once in a while I could make father son time a PC build day with a nice lunch or dinner at a decent to good restaurant and actually teach my boy's a bit about PC building.
Added: that might be a good option if my son's are receptive.
Hey TPR, in the video you mentioned your move from Charlotte to Daytona. I'm considering moving to Charlotte. What'd you think about it? how's the tech scene?
ОтветитьI started by flipping parts and then moved to complete systems
Ответитьmb
ОтветитьI use all the same strategy as you bar the "Bringing the rig" in UK it's normal to pick stuff up from people's houses, I would never meet in a random place.
For myself I found the sweet spot to be 400-500 builds to sell well with good margins, this is the area where many people decide they would rather have a PC than a similar priced XBOX X or PS5. Higher than that & the target market is lower so sales take longer.
Like you said RGB sells, combined with good wire management! I sometimes find a clean builds with decent specs but wire management is bad going for below market, those are the ones that I like because less work and easy profit!
I would love to flip pc's but I live in a smaller metropolitan area and it's not super high paying economy, not sure how quickly things would sell here 😕
ОтветитьYeah thanks a lot for showing me the Apevia case!😂now I have both a white build and the black one I need to sell now🫣😎
ОтветитьDude! Love the vids! But pleaseeeee turn down the beauty filter!!!!!
ОтветитьSo much great advice in this vid and this channel. I started by thinking of ideas for 4 HP Elite 800 G1 MT PC's that I got for under $30 each. They aren't real desirable as is but I thought about maybe modifying them as basic gamers. They all have 365W PSU's and I have a few I7-4790's and a few 4GB shorty GPU's that a power calculator says will work with them. Don't know how well they'd sell even with those mods. Maybe I go all out and strip em down, modify the case with viewing "window"? custom paint and ARGB em with a hub? But after watching this channel I put that plan aside for now and just built my first ever gaming PC with a new Gamdias Talos case (that was on sale), I installed an Asrock Extreme 4 (LGA 1150) MB, that came with an OC'd I5-4670K, and 32GB Corsair Vengeance RAM. I added a Peerless Assassin ARGB CPU cooler. I purchased a used Samsung 860 EVO ITB SSD for it., EVGA GTX 1060 GPU, Apexgaming 750W PSU. I then added an PWM ARGB hub for bling. Total cost I chit you not is $248. It's so purdy I want to keep it smh
ОтветитьPC flipping channels are also one of the best resources for people looking to build their first computer.
ОтветитьWhat about warranty? How would you give warranty on the pc you built and selling?
ОтветитьGreat advice! I certainly learned a couple very useful things from this video.
ОтветитьI just got into the pc program recently and I hope I can get as good as you but as of now I'm too poor to even buy a pc I'll have to ask my dad. Thanks!
ОтветитьThe first thing I ask myself or others when building a PC is "what do you want it to do?" I do this because that informs the budget.
ОтветитьLot's of instiful information and look forward to watch your content. ALL NERDS UNITE!!!!!
ОтветитьGreat video. With the amount of time you have to put into research I am surprised you have any time to actually buy and flip the PC.
ОтветитьPodras hacer un test bench portatil en tu canal?
ОтветитьIt's a good thing you mentioned that PC flipping is not a get rich quick endeavour. I feel like a lot of people who get into flipping (anything, not just PCs) think it will make them a lot of money very quickly.
Oh and with regards to eBay, they have one heck of a Buyer Protection program. Such that it deters a lot of would be scammers (and sometimes legit sellers). Basically if anything a buyer gets is broken, the buyer will get their money back.
I know nothing about trading /investment and l'm keen on getting started. What are some strategies to get started with?
ОтветитьFacts.
ОтветитьI’ve been flipping PCs as a hobby since Sep 2022 and have done over 70 builds so far. Like you, I almost always use used GPUs, CPUs, and motherboards, whereas cases, SSDs are almost always purchased new. RAM and PSUs are about 50/50. EBay isn’t reliable for good deals in Canada, as most sellers are in the US and shipping costs are expensive. However, I have had a lot of success with the hardwareswap subreddit, which I’ve used to secure great deals on used GPUs and CPU/motherboard/RAM combos. People also tend to know the fair value of parts, whereas prices on FBM are usually inflated. I’ve definitely used the test bench trick a few times as well!
ОтветитьWhile searching for deals on PCS be careful of Howie Mandel because there might be a deal or no deal 😂😂
ОтветитьMy first major PC upgrade was installing a Canopus Pure 3D Voodoo 1 into our Celeron 300 system.
