There will be moments that you feel so weak
you will lie there in your vomit and sweat laughing at how weak you are

And there will be days of waiting in line to buy supermarket groceries

And there will be times where you feel so empowered
you swear you could raise the dead

And other times so rewarding you will feel like you have cheated life

5 o clock

And your day begins
You take a hit of something just to get the tiger off your back
You close your eyes as you exhale
And the rain subsides for a bit

Waiting for a knock on the door

6 o clock

And that door opens up
showing you promises of wealth, fun adventure, exotic love, and wild fantasies.

So you walk inside
And you are high on arrival
Stepping into rooms of painted faces and Balenciaga rhinestones
As you hear your name in the background

As you ride that party like it's a fucking bronco

As you gaze off into the middle distance
Feeling
Seeing
Reading
Watching
Wanting
Waiting
Catching
Deflecting
Reacting
Deciding
Predicting
Distracting
Disappointing

Obverting back to the middle distance

7 o clock

You eat something
not because your hungry
But because it is time to eat.

8 o clock
The Clouds cover up the sun as it falls.
Dreams turn into shadows that walk on their own.

9 o clock

Women passing through your soul
Men pretending to be calm.

The ballet of your heart dancing with your blood.

And there it is one light shining through the world of darkness

Watching as the careful madness unfolds
Playing with people's hearts like pieces of a chess board
Falling completely for the love bombs that lay before you
And abandoning the ones you love that no longer fulfill you
Because that is a perfectly sane thing to do.

10 o clock

A spilled drink on the floor

One bold move leading into the rest of your life

Or maybe into
a house of silence

Or one long, lonely walk home

Or maybe two hands crawling along the bedsheets

11 o clock

And you're just lying there

As the moon watches

As the wolves sing to the wind

We are all just a bunch of atoms floating around

And there it is again
One light shining through a world of darkness
And it's already fading
And as it fades out you're reminded
that it's you

And tomorrow you will trudge forward
through the face of adversity like you are powered by magic alone
Rising like a falcon moon across the impossibility
