"Don't shoot until you see the reds of their eyes!"
ОтветитьSubscribed, definitely love the overview battle reports and correct me if I’m wrong but this is from an old White Dwarf Battle Report.
ОтветитьI like the serious historical voice narration with the ork terminology <3 that's commitment. Keep it up
Ответитьoh oh ,Ive seen this one before
ОтветитьAspiring rappers sir, thousands of them
ОтветитьBig Toof? That must be intentional.xD
ОтветитьI can see Paul Sawyer's face commanding these orcs. That was one of the best battle reports in all of Wh40ks History.
Ответить''Orks to the south sir...tharsands of them'' ......
ОтветитьI didn't know that there were orks that worked with the imperium
ОтветитьHooky the ratling hahahaha. The original hooky in zulu was a miserable bastard. Makes sense he was a ratling.
ОтветитьI love sone of these old lore battles.
ОтветитьNo greater courage for a Guardsman than to stand defiant in the face of his enemies with the burning fury of the Emperor in his eyes.
Ответить2 regiments is an army? that could barely hold the frontage of avdiivka
ОтветитьThis one action had the most Emperors Aquileia's for valor awarded to one unit in Imperial history.
ОтветитьNow that's a funny reference
ОтветитьEverything that happened is Rorke's drift 4000. 🤣
ОтветитьThis battle reminds me of Battle Of Zulu
ОтветитьLove your stuff x
Ответитьalgo
ОтветитьFor some reason I have watched this twice.
ОтветитьThis is the problem with warhammer lore. For something that’s so massive the numbers are just proportionally tini
It’s warefare written by people who don’t know it and sometimes I find it jarring
I was fully expecting the ratling to take out the warboss…
ОтветитьRiminds me of rorke drift or how is it called.
ОтветитьHooky the ratling, this is obviously a sci fi version of The Battle of Rorks drift. In real life pvt Hook received a Victorian Cross for his actions during the batte..
ОтветитьBUTTON UP THAT FLACK JACKET, WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE, MAN!?
ОтветитьOrks running away from a fight because they took too many losses? That's ... unexpected.
ОтветитьMost incompetent ruling class ever.
Ответить🫡
ОтветитьIf anyone is interested in the white dwarf battle report of Glazers Farm, it's Issue 222.
ОтветитьThis original battle report was in one of the first White Dwarf magazines I bought, and it's still the battle report I remember most fondly. They guys really put a lot of effort into that write-up....or they were just inspired. Anyways, it was nice to be reminded of it once again. (wanders off to my old magazine shelf)
ОтветитьIt's interesting that this campaign was seemingly inspired by two different South African battles: the Battle of Blood River, where the Zulu were defeated by the Boers in a similar way to the Imperium being defeated by the Orcs, with especially high casualties being inflicted during the retreat across the river; and Rorke's Drift, obviously, where this time the Imperium stands in for the British and the Orcs for the Zulu.
ОтветитьWhat of Hookey the Rattling?
ОтветитьI know that there have been tonnes of zulu style quotes (or renditions of men of harlach). So here is my contribution.
"it's a miracle."
"If it is a miracle colour sergeant, it's a lasgun, emperor blessed miracle."
"And a bayonet sir. With some guts behind it."
I wish they re-released the praetorian guard as an alternate astra militarum regiment choice, but they probably dropped them cos of potential backlash of how it probably glamourised colonialism or something, which is stupid to be honest..
other table top games can still do the whole british redcoat thing by doing napoleonic version of the table top game, so i don't understand why they cannot just re-bring out other guard regiments, i love my Cadians alot, especially basing them on the 8th Cadian Regiment (Creeds Own/Creeds Pride) because i would totally start collecting praetorians for sure if they brought them back out with new models and such like they did for the cadians.
I think theirs also a piece of artwork showing the Praetorians fighting the orks too!.
I remember this battle report, ahh loved those models. Wish I had picked some up back then :D
ОтветитьFirst rank..FIRE!!
Second rank ..FIRE!!
Third rank..FIRE!!
I still remember reading this battle report in White Dwarf as a kid. It was also one of the very few Warhammer things that impressed by dad (an old school WWII wargamer). Amazing work, thank you.
ОтветитьWhy did they not kill the warboss?
ОтветитьGrease for the wheel
ОтветитьSo this is mixture of the battle of little big horn and roke's drift
ОтветитьLove it haha so good to do this from White Dwarf and shouting out the remake/sequel they did years later.
ОтветитьI love how its based from Rorkes drift, from the regiment, uniforms, and more.😂
ОтветитьThis is dumb
ОтветитьOrks Drift... err... I took a wrong turn... was expecting elves and dwarves ..
Ответитьcant wait for ork wellington to defeat orkpoleon
ОтветитьCome on! Sing!
