I've been oil pulling for years - it whitens my teeth and helps with bad breath. A few tips:
1. Warm up the oil first so it's at least soft, if not liquid.
2. Start small...1-2 minutes at first then work up to 10-15. It's harder work than you'd think!
3. Always spit it into the trash, NOT down the drain. It can clog your pipes and do nasty things for your plumbing.

I've heard with oil pulling, you've got to start slow and small. So just small amounts for only a few minutes and then as you get used to it, working your way up to larger amounts for longer times. Also, don't spit it into the sink, as it can clog your drains!

For the oil pulling, it's 1 spoon of 'melted' coconut oil. You can melt it in the microwave. Then you can swish it around the mouth like mouthwash. Hope it helps. :)
