Definitely one of the most versatile movies I’ve ever seen, it’s not just a Halloween movie and that can be played during Halloween season, but it can also be played during the Christmas holiday season, it’s also a musical 🎶 too.

I love this show so much

I remember watching this animated cartoon at the movie theater. My friends kept telling me you got to see "The Night before Christmas" In the back of my mind I was thinking, "I stopped watching cartoons when I turned 10 yrs old now I am being told to go watch a cartoon at 18 almost 19 in the theatre. This was back in the 90s.

I watched it and I was like ok its just another cartoon but a seasonal cartoon. No different than any other cartoon except they were singing more than they were talking and the Skelton dude wanted to try something different, that is to be Santa Clause for Christmas which didn't work out the way he expected.

My friends spent $$$ on all the promotion stuff they had on this movie including stuff animals, posters, shirts etc at least $200.00 -$500.00. They was so hyped over this cartoon they went back countless times watching it and watching it over and over again. Then when it got released on VHS at Blockbuster Video they kept renting it and renting it then they bought it on VHS and DVD. Now this is the stupid part. They continued to rent it even though they owned and it was already opened. They wasted $100's of dollars renting it.

It's 2023, they dont own the VHS Tape or DVD Movie anymore. They got rid of all the collectibles they bought including the promotional movie items. They spent well over $1,000 I spent $6.00 and never spent 1 red cent on any of the crap.
There is no movie older or newer that will make me go crazy and spend $$ foolishly like this.

I only watch movies 1 time and 1 time only. Some people like watching them over and over and over again. Thats fine if thsy want to. I just look at the time wasted and the hours spent you can never get back.

I would rather spend all that time with my daughter than waste hours and hours watching a movie I already seen.

Aw, he's not even a villain. He's just a Halloween monster doing his job. Scaring people. When you think about it, the movie works entirely without a villain. Nobody's evil. It's just a story about silly, wayward monsters trying something new, with good intentions but no good execution. And we're so used to the character categories that we automatically brand Mr Oggie Boogie the villain - even though he's not doing anything evil.

An all-knowing Santa would've been too reassuring, and an overly nice, sanatized Santa would've either made it too harsh or just been kinda lame. It was probably about right to go with a Santa who's a little bit toughened and threatens back, even though he doesn't actually know if he'll be okay.
