Long years but I keepy words
ОтветитьIt’s I’m your Huckle Bearer 😂 not I’m your huckleberry 😂 if one quotes Doc holiday one should know the correct saying have a nice day
ОтветитьGonna have to watch it again. Been decades.
ОтветитьOops
ОтветитьHuckle bearer
ОтветитьThe line is Huckleberry. Not Huckleberry. Huckleberry is the old slang for casket bearer
ОтветитьWhenever I see a message or note about Doc Holiday, I see Val Kilmer's represntation! Val has done magnificent work over the years in so many movies. He truly aces the character he portrays!
ОтветитьMoral of the story: Don't fuck with people who are dying of tuberculosis.
ОтветитьMy single favorite character in all of westerns...is Val's Doc Holiday
ОтветитьGreat scene. A very good performance by Mr. Kilmer, i think.
ОтветитьListen closely and he says bearer..
ОтветитьIt's huckle bearer - not huckle berry. Huckle was a handle on a coffin as carried by the bearer.
Ответить“You’re no daisy at all.”
ОтветитьThere's a reason why Earp was shown running with his long-barrelled gun already drawn. It was to show that he would have stoon NO CHANCE of winning that duel. Just look at the difference between Earp's gun-barrel, and Doc's gun-barrel. There's a reason why quick-draw artists use a barrel legth of below 7.25 inches (around 16cm). The longer length of the longers barrels will add to the length of the draw-time. That extra 1/10th of a second which the longer barrel would have taken to draw would have cost Earp his life, even if his draw-speed was equal to Ringo's draw speed. Earp's gun was designed for greater accuracy over distance (just like a rifle)...definitely not quick-drawing.
ОтветитьHe did an excelent job.
ОтветитьSo cool!
ОтветитьBad as
ОтветитьSomething beautiful about a man with nothing left to lose and the skills to put on a show Doc gave no goddamns
ОтветитьVal Kilmer does an amazing job as Doc Holiday just an incredible performance.
ОтветитьGreat scene
ОтветитьGenius
ОтветитьHe says “ I’m your huckle bearer”
Aka pallbearer because the handle is called a huckle back then
Ringo firing a shot into the ground is excellent detail. In real life he was found dead against a tree with a wound to his temple, he pistol in his hand, and a round missing from the chamber. His death was ruled a suicide. Doc saying “I’m afraid the strain was more than he could bear” seems like a reference to this.
ОтветитьJohnny shouldve just ran circles and tire out doc 😂
ОтветитьRingo’s excuse to back out, saying “I was just foolin’ about,” gave away to Doc that he feared him. And the reactionary smirk and retort is just ruthless.
ОтветитьPoor soul he was just too high strung.
ОтветитьYou're no daisy
ОтветитьThis is a great movie. Val Kilmer is my favorite in it. To me, he makes the movie how great it is.
ОтветитьI will remember Mr. Kilmer as Doc Holiday until my dying day. It's the power of a good performance, Brando as Vito Corleone, or Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter. Seems like a phenomenon of the past with so many movies every year, "super hero" focussed fandom and the end of the movie star mythos.
ОтветитьRingo really feared Doc Holliday he knew that Doc was better than him
ОтветитьSi
ОтветитьI'm your huckuburry not huckleberry
ОтветитьAlways love that smug "Weeellllll" at the beginning
ОтветитьJohnny is buried where he died.
ОтветитьI love this movie so much ngl but tbh when I first watched it I thought doc holiday was a young Johnny depp😂
ОтветитьNow that my friends is Law Enforcement 🇺🇸
ОтветитьI don’t think there is a reason to discuss this film. Val is a great actor and he’s just doing his thing
Ответить#🦅🕳️
Ответить“Why, Johnny ringo, you look someone just walked over your grave.” Is such a good line as, if you don’t know, the real Johnny ringo’s body was buried right there, under that tree, where he died.
ОтветитьIs Doc Holliday, supposed to be a tortured soul??
Val Kilmer seems to be suffering
Doc Holiday one of the best characters in movie history PERIOD!
ОтветитьThe true meaning of “I’m your huckleberry” makes this line even more Phenomenal !
ОтветитьIt’s hucklebearer.
Ответить...when
ОтветитьThe way Doc emerges from the shadows is epic! Even though he's half dead with tuberculosis he's still on his game and is absolutely fearless! Val Kilmer was stunning throughout the entire movie!
Ответитьthis scene & the scene from Shutter Island where they talk about God & chaos while going to the warden are my two favorite scenes in cinema of all time, complete perfection man
ОтветитьHe said, “I’m your buckle bearer.” Listen again. People called the handles on coffins huckles in those days. Pallbearers were often called huckle bearers.
ОтветитьHe doesn’t say “I’m your huckleberry” he says “I’m your huckle bearer” which means he’s going to carry Ringo’s coffin
Ответить
