This video had me at hello, because I'm doing the same exact thing with my shower. Back story: Because of a leaky tub I had to demo the wall around it to get it out, so I decided to do a bathroom remodel. I was going to put in a new freestanding tub until I stayed in an AirBNB and saw an oversized shower, Eureka! (Love at first sight!😍)

The glass in the window near a tub or shower, you must use tempered glass. The vapor barrier on the fiberglass insulation faces the conditioned space, not outside.

OMG, "I broke stuff like this and then I saw how it was made when I was breaking. And then I tried recreating it but slightly better".... that just explained my entire life! Loved the Renovation. We stared ours with a tile guy and s plumber. But it is not going well. They did not center the shower head and the purpose was to gain about an inch and a half. Can the shower head be moved so it's centered. I'm worried because it's on the second floor. 😢😢

Are American external walls basically just stud walls?

I used to think large showers were luxurious. But that was before I had used them. Now I just find them cool and drafty. I like small enclosed showers because they act like mini-steam rooms which is actually more luxurious than big and drafty. And small showers have a lot less to clean!

You should never ever use pressure treated timber inside a house Unless you want to slowly kill your customers it is chemically treated
